I really enjoyed everything on the buffet, I tried everything. Love the homey feel. Many patrons including other individuals and a large table.

Two of us were the first customers on a weekday night. Ordered the onion bhajia as a starter and were quite happy with it. It is kind of like a deconstructed Bloomin’ Onion. Ordered Chicken Jal Frazie and a similar lamb dish. The lamb was better than the chicken - nicely tender. Also ordered a special naan that was good. An order of Saag Paneer completed our meal. Portions were larger than I am used to at other Indian places. As we were the first in the dining room, service was good.

Nice service and good food. A nice lunch buffet. Comfortable and inviting atmosphere. If we visit Morristown again (we aren't here often), this will be our place for lunch.

Stopped in for lunch, we were the only people there, however they had numerous pickups while we were there. They advertise a buffet, but do not have it presently. They did have a lunch special and it was delicious!! We enjoyed our meal and would recommend you stop in and give them a try! Our meal included Tiki Masala chicken, rice, Naan, chickpeas, black lentils and tandoori chicken. Friendly and excellent service!

Lost a 20 year customer due to constant delays for pick-up orders. Always waiting and waiting in that depressing entryway for my pick-up order to be ready. Told to come in 20 mins after ordering, get there after 30 mins to be safe, told it'll be ready in a "few minutes". Finally comes out 25 mins later! I hate waiting there and being misled even more. Taking my business elsewhere - going to try the new place that just opened up in Morristown.

I have eaten at Cafe India, in Morristown, NJ for years and enjoyed many a meal. But things change. If you wanted mediocre for the past year or two -- you missed your opportunity at Cafe India. The food had been mediocre but has now sunk to a new low. Apparently now your dinner will come with a surprise -- for example a hair to pull out of your appetizer. Of course such things do happen. But than lets move on to an entree of lamb that was not all that tasty but passable for this so called eatery. The rice and bread seemed fine. The lamb dish left an unpleasant taste in my mouth that lingered which I attributed to over seasoning with spices - such as too much cilantro for my taste. Not horrible until later when Montezuma's Revenge and severe gastric distress hit me and stayed with me. Also, anything else I had that day was typical. The service was and is great, but the food -- has gone from disappointing, to disgusting, to sickening. There are other Indian restaurants in the area where you need not worry about surviving a meal. There were only four other people there at 7:30 on a pleasant Thursday night -- now I understand why other diners went elsewhere or stayed at home. Should you dare dine there please keep this information handy -- Emergency Department at Morristown Medical Center · 100 Madison Avenue Morristown, NJ 07960.

We eat Indian food often so were really looking forward to tonight's meal. Unfortunately it wasn't all that good. The onion bhaji was good, so no faults there. My wife's chicken tikka masala sauce tasted like tomato soup. My chilli chicken was devoid of any chilli, it was described as medium (same as their vindaloo) but I wouldn't even say it was mild. Service wasn't great either.

Caffe India has been a Morristown staple for Indian food for quite some time, and somehow manages to stay in business. While it's generally okay, there are better choices in the area. We ordered take out consisting of Vegetable Samosas, Garlic Naan, Chicken Tikka Masala (2 orders), Lamb Kabob Tikka Masala and Vegetable Korma. The main course portion size is on the small side for the price; among the 4 of us, there were no leftovers from all that was ordered. First the good news. The Samosas were good, with a nice crispy exterior and nicely flavored filling, if on the small side. Garlic Naan was soft with a good garlic flavor (although there could have been more garlic for my taste). The Masala and Korma sauces were also very flavorful. Now the not so good. Aside from small portions, the chicken was not tender and rather dry. The lamb cubes were too gamey and very chewy. The Korma was severely lacking in vegetables (it is Vegetable Korma) and contained mostly diced potatoes (which were very small), and there was not a lot of vegetables and potatoes. Fortunately, there was lots of sauces left over which we used for our own dinners the next night. We used to order fairly regularly from Caffe India, but this was probably our last meal. It has remained fairly consistent, but we have gotten tired of spending money on mediocre food, especially given the other choices around.

This place is a gem in Morristown. A few minutes from the green and worth it to get there:-)! We’ve eaten in several times but typically order take out! Service is usually good and attentive and food is always fresh! Weaves tried many of the dishes here. Lamb vindaloo, rogan josh, chicken Sagwala (my sons favorite!) Chicken tika! My wife’s favorite! The naan breads are fab too! Chutney, pickle garlic all good!! Lunch buffet is also good!! Try it, you’ll like it!!!:-))

Excellent food in a traditional Indian setting. And it’s BYOB so you can bring your favorite wine or beer.

Location is convenient (although parking for lunch could be a challenge). We've been going here for several years now and have been extremely pleased.

Went to Caffe India today for lunch as a last minute thought. It was totally empty (may be because it is Sunday and very cold and people will be going out later tonight to celebrate New Year). Order a Veg Thali for myself and a Tandoori Thali for a friend. Both were delicious with a variety of dishes. The downside is that to make it spicy they used Red Chili Flakes and that was odd. The mango lassi was amazing! Food tasted good but not typical North Indian.

This is the best lunch deal in town! They don't fill the buffet, but rather refill frequently with fresh food! The usual tiki Marsala...naan...and a delicious spinach dish! The rice pudding dessert was very tasty and the dessert sweet balls were unusual and very sweet! Service was excellent. This is what I call "Indian light" ...everything is lightly spiced.
