Having grown up in Detroit, I grew up on middle eastern food. It’s been a while since we have had anything decent in Morristown. Finally, an upscale good middle eastern restaurant! The place is situated on Catano Avenue in Morristown. There is a large outdoor...patio with plenty of seating even for large groups. We were able to secure a reservation for five of us last minute. Service was prompt and it appeared that they had plenty of weight staff. Their menu is diverse with cold or hot Mezza. We ordered the tzatziki labneh, hummus, smoky eggplant and watermelon feta. All of them were amazing but I was mostly impressed with the tabouli which appeared to have a hint of mint and the smoky eggplant which truly was unbelievable. Falafel was very good as well. We ordered main courses as well. The chicken shish was very tender and cooked perfectly. The Bronzino was also cooked excellent. my son had lamb chops and said they were good, however seemed like they could do without the gravy on top. The baklava came out within 1 minute of us ordering it and was EXCELLENT. Some of the best I’ve ever had. The only negative- My brother in law ordered a Turkish coffee and said he didn’t think it was good. Still, the superior quality of the rest of the night gives this place five stars!More

We love that it’s BYOB. If you’re looking for great Mediterranean cuisine, this is the place to go to. Everything we ordered was delicious! Our server went out of her way to describe what we are ordering, very solicitous, without being nosy. Loved the place...but there was a table with a kid that was screaming on top of her lungs for so long and the adults in the party did not do anything to calm her down or at least take her out. Not the restaurant’s fault but definitely ruined the mood.More

I would leave zero stars if I could. Rude manager and pushy servers. We we told we could stay only for two hours. I asked manager why she didn’t inform me when I made reservation by phone? She answered with nasty attitude that it’s on...website I supposed to read by myself. So what is your job? Be rude to customers??? Also if you want to sit outside in the igloo it’s 65$ per person. And of course nobody told me that when I called. They actually don’t think about customers. The food quality and flavor is poor, but you still have to order food for the amount 65$. Maybe that’s why this place has a such trashy food. And last but not least, 18% tip is already included so our server Oya didn’t really care of us.More

This restaurant is fantastic. My wife and I came for a date night last Saturday. The ambience is romantic but also good for groups. It's very lively and the decor is whimsical. There are igloos for the more COVID cautious. We ate inside. As the...nice as the restaurant was, the food was the star of the show. My wife had the Eggplant Medley appetizer and then the Adana Pistachio. It was all very flavorful. I had the Mediterranean Fries and then the Turkish Manti (essentially Turkish tortellini if you didn't know - I didn't). All delicious. Parking was very convenient in the municipal parking garage just down the block. The only thing that could have been better is the restaurant is BYOB and we did not. Also, it was about 8 degrees out, so while warm inside, it was a short, but cold, walk to the car.More

Four of us had dinner here on a Wednesday night. We ate in one of the heated igloos outside. Igloo dining is a $65 prix fixe dinner--appetizer, entree and dessert. It's BYOB so we brought our own wine. It was very pleasant dining in the...igloo, though we had to open the flap periodically to let in fresh air because it got humid inside. Service was attentive for the most part, and the appetizers were tasty. However the entrees were a disappointment. The filet mignon was very small and not good quality. The grilled shrimp salad came with shrimp that were cold (which made us wonder how long ago they were grilled) and the shrimp tasted awful. The other two entrees (shrimp casserole and a lamb dish) were just okay. Also portion sizes were quite small. If you like Mediterranean restaurants, there are better places. We don't plan on coming back.More

We stopped by here on a Monday night - we reached around 8:40 PM and they told us the kitchen was closing soon. we were seated after a quick 5 minute wait. The atmosphere is excellent - lovely courtyard and lighting. very appealing and great...for a date night. The restaurant is BYOB so we didn't get anything to drink. The food is average - I had the Grape Leaves and the Falafel - the falafel was very good, the grape leaves was okay. The service is very spotty. The table was not made, coffee and ice tea were served after the food arrived. Folks weren't checking in on us. Maybe they were not staffed enough but it wasn't up to the markMore

We reserved a garden igloo, it was a $250 dinner minimum for a group of 4. The setting was excellent, warm, and a wonderful experience. It is BYOB. The small plates and apps are excellent, but the entrees are small, so-so, and over priced for...the quality and size. Some things to try and some to avoid: The salmon and avocado tartar is excellent, one of the best I’ve ever had. It is full of salmon and big chunks of avocado. The hummus and the cheese phyllo rolls are also very good. Avoid the calamari, it is $15 for a basket of 10 basic rings, no legs in this calamari and it is a serving for one. Do not get the filet mignon. It’s is not a filet cut. It’s arrives as 3 thin chops and at $38 (most expensive on the menu) you are paying Roots Steakhouse prices for something poorly prepared, small, and not even a filet. I ordered mine medium rare and it arrived well done. It’s so thin it’s impossible to cook it properly. I sent it back and the second wasn’t much better. The Adan Pistachio (beef and lamb) is a solid dish, the flavor is ok but We expected more. Same goes with the Lamb Special. So, a beautiful setting and a great places for apps and BYOB drinks. I would go again for the tartar but eat my official dinner entrees somewhere else.More

My beet/goat cheese salad plate was lined with chunks of beets that tasted like they had been soaked in chlorine. They were totally inedible. My barely warm stuffed squash was difficult to separate from the shell and to cool to taste any seasonings. Bad food...for a high price.More

Was very excited to try this place. Overall disappointing. The atmosphere was good. Food was average and the service was poor. Pretty pricey to begin with and then we were likely overcharged. Our mistake not saving the receipt. We went for brunch and were rushed...to order right at 2 before the kitchen closed at 2:15 and then rushed out at 3 on the dot so they could clean up for dinner. Never on the phone was it mentioned that if we changed the reservation to 1:30 we would be rushed out so quickly. They get the 3rd star for the cool igloo atmosphere but, sadly not worth the money!More

Absolutely AMAZING setup for COVID. Multiple outdoor igloos with a table inside each igloo. The personal touches are out of this world: a personal heater for each igloo, each chair has a fleece blanket, the silverware is encased in plastic covering which the waiter takes...off for you. Not only did I feel safe but the ambiance and dining experience was 100. Great place for parties of 4-8 OR romantic dinner. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. There were so many things that caught our eye on the menu that we wound up ordering a bunch of different things and sharing among our group of three. I highly recommend the following appetizers: garden hummus, grape leaves, and eggplant medley. For dinner we split the grilled salmon and loved it. Dinner came with delicious heated pita bread with olive oil dip. For dessert, we ordered and loved the garden chocolate souffle, and the saffron poached pear. Since none of us had ever tried Turkish coffee, we decided to order some and give it a try. I do not like coffee so I did not partake but my girlfriends tried it. While they thought it was strong, they said it tasted good. Despite the fact that I don't like coffee, the presentation of it is so lovely. This is a BYOB establishment. My only minor complaint is that there is no tap water so you have to pay $8 for a bottle of water. However for the location, safety and food it is well worth it!!! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!More

Love the outdoor, private igloos - delicious food and good service given the constraints of what restaurants must do now. Great job Fig and Lily Garden!

I can forgive high prices for mediocre food and small portions, given the beautiful setting and professional service. But I cannot forgive $8. for bottled water, given that there were no other options for just plain water. The shepherd salad was small and strange, unrecognizable...as shepherd salad, except that the menu called it that. My shrimp casserole (shrimp cooked in a mirepoix and covered with mozzarella cheese) had seen better days-or maybe just hours. The dessert, however, was the exception: a whole, peeled pear cooked with saffron and served alongside Turkish ice cream. Yum! The restaurant is a perfect place for an important date: the setting, service--and high prices--lend themselves to a romantic, thrilling evening. But it must be an evening, when the restaurant is at its best.More

Visited this restaurant today. Food was OK, even though portions were small for the price, service was OK. The bill was over $240 for 4 people with no alcohol. Once coffee and deserts were served, we were presented with the bill. Once the waitress realized...we were done with desert and bill was paid, she asked to leave as there was a time limit on how long we could stay at the table, This was very embarrassing and for the money we spent we should not be treated this way. We were about to leave in a few minutes and there was no reason to ask us to leave. This was very unprofessional. I am not sure I will go back knowing that there’s a limit on how long I can stay and at any time I may be asked to leave.More

We were taken to Fig and Lilly Garden by our daughter for our anniversary. What a pleasant surprise . This was the first time we had been out to dinner since the Covid shut down in March. The garden was lovely and the tables well...spaced. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The food was very good. We all had lamb either kabobs or chops. It was tasty and done medium rare as ordered. The baklava was especially good and not too sweet. My only complaint would be the portion sizes we not generous given the prices.More
