It’s the second time I’ve been here and equally as lovely as my first visit. Food is varied and delicious, service is super helpful and friendly. Independent run business UK owners. Will definitely be back 👌🏼

The restaurant is family run & everybody is very friendly. Knowledgeable of allergens & gluten free. We had the beef & Rioja pie with puff pastry topping, (delicious) & a Persian duck curry ( the most amazing flavours). Followed by a “proper” Irish coffee with...double cream (not squirty) poured over the top. It is a very relaxed & comfortable restaurant & we look forward to eating there again when we are next in Javea.More

Me, my sister and my grandparents had a lovely time here! We enjoyed the duck risotto, chicken croquetas, beef curry, solomillo and sea bream. The staff was very friendly as well! We will come back soon, for sure. 100% recommend!

We have been to this restaurant several times over the years while visiting family in Javea but had not been since our last visit in Autumn 2017....we have always had a great meal here and so we were very keen to revisit and did so...twice during our 2 week stay in late July/ early August. Once again on both visits the food was exceptional and it is really good value too. We have two children aged 13 and 15 and they both love this place. Especially as one of my daughters is allergic to nut they catered for her competently and ensured she she had a good meal too (for example she had the goats cheese starter and loved it). Between us we tried several of the dishes and it is hard to select a standout meal as they were all great. The fish was expertly prepared and plenty of it and the Cambodian Curry was very tasty too. I even tried the vegan Spinach Pie and thoroughly enjoyed it....I am not Vegan however. We were always left comfortably full. The staff are extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful....nothing is too much trouble. They have a very good selection of wines and beers too which are well worth experimenting with and they will advise you as they did with us. Overall we had 2 great nights out thanks to La Cocina and will definitely return when we are next back in Javea. Highly recommended!More

We were thrilled to receive an email from La Cocina earlier this week that their terrace would be open for lunch on Friday. I quickly grabbed the mobile and booked and how glad I am that I did. It was my wife's birthday and we...were so excited to be going out for the first time in months and to the fabulous restaurant La Cocina. The description of the starters was mouth watering and we each chose different from Crab Causa, Goats cheese/Brie, and Mallorcan bread with creamy mushrooms. We washed this down with complimentary drinks before ordering two glasses of white and a bottle of red wine to accompany the main course. The birthday girl chose the Cambodian curry whereas her sister and I both opted for the beef and Rioja pie {my favourite}. What can I tell you other than all plates, starters and mains, we're empty and the food absolutely fantastic. The sweets were very tempting but we settled for coffee creams for the ladies as I finished off a great bottle of Ribera del Duero at an affordable price. The service was exemplary and the atmosphere considering the Covid 19 restrictions was very welcoming. Thank you La Cocina for a great lunch and fantastic experience.More

La Cocina is a favourite in Javea, both for the restaurant and for the excellent ready (frozen) meals they prepare, which are excellent and a real life-saver if you suddenly don't either want to go out or cook from scratch. For a number of reasons,...totally unrelated to the restaurant, had not been there probably since late summer. The family who run it have recently taken their traditional winter break, this year to Peru and, as usual, Cliff has brought back some new menu ideas from there and introduced them to the menu. So, on the spur of the moment last night, decided to pay a visit, and to try some of the new, Peruvian-inspired dishes. Starter was a "Crab Causa" - Peruvian potato terrine, avocado, crab and oak lead lettuce - extremely good - were I being picky, the potato terrine either needed to be a smaller part of the dish, or better spiced. Main course was a whole bream, filleted, in a creamy Peruvian sauce with pecans, cumin and parmesan (they cook a chicken fillet in a similar sauce).. In my experience, bream is quite a delicate fish which is demanding to cook accurately, but this was perfectly executed, just melting away from the skin yet retaining a certain firmness on the palate - again, were I being hyper-critical, I think both cumin and parmesan could have been used more to good effect. Having started with some wonderful pan/alioli (which would kill any vampire for miles around!), very replete and no room for desert. With a bottle of very decent home red, this was an excellent, mid-priced meal, and I'm sure anyone, including especially vegetarians and vegans, could find something to delight them there. An excellent meal and evening once again - thank you to Laurie, Cliff and Ellen.More
