Held our son and future daughter in laws rehersal dinner at monocacy Crossing this evening. Due to COVID everything had to be planned long distance. I can not say enough wonderful things about the planning process (thank you Kelly!) and such a very special evening....even...with the tables spread out and covid protocols. We felt safe with all their efforts in place. The food was all not only amazing (salmon, beef medallions or pork) but presentation was beautiful. The waitstaff was so great and attentive. Thank you so much for a memorable evening - everything was perfect.More

I went to this restaurant today I've been here several times but This is the first time I've been back since the coronavirus. I ordered a Reuben which is my favorite there it's always good I've never had an issue with this restaurant before except...for one time they burnt my toast on my Reuben and that's it. So I go to eat my sandwich and All the sudden I started to smell something a little weird so I looked inside of the sandwich and I could see it was like all these brown marks that is a sign of bad meat. So I called the restaurant to let them know the young lady said she would give me my money back ask for my credit card information and I gave it to her. But then I was just so upset why would you even make a sandwich like this and give it to someone so I asked for the manager she got on the phone was very rude her name is Kelly I spoke to her several times she seem like a nice person but I guess that was not true. And then she put her husband who I think is a chef on the phone oh he was very rude hung up on me and everything.Don't get mad at me because you guys were keeping the same meat over the corona time don't get upset with me because the meet went bad and now you're upset because I figured it out don't get mad at me because your damn Ruben did not taste good and I called you out on it don't get mad at me because I'm black and you feel you can treat me rude because of that it's so disgusting to be treated that way I am a customer but I guess you don't care about me because of the fact that I am black. Kelly, I'm so surprised that you seem like a nice person and your husband he is truly the rudest person ever I bet you don't treat your white customers like that do you. It's a shame that you guys got so upset because you gave me a Reuben that had brown meat and had a foil smell. All you all had to do is say sorry and that wouold have been that. And forKelly to say you people always have an issue what do you mean you people?? I AM STILL WAITING TO BE REFUNDED AS I WAS TOLD I WOULD Be by one off your very polite waitresss who make up forthe owners rudeness.More

We enjoy the great food and service that Mononcacy Crossing has to offer. During this pandemic we have gotten take out to take home. We have even met friends an eaten tailgate/picnic style in the parking lot. We have tried numerous times to book out...side dining through Open Table (the app they use) with absolutely no luck. Open table says they have no seating. We call directly to the restaurant for reservations and they say their seating opens at 10AM on the Open Table app, the day of the reservation. It absolutely does not. To try to get outside dining it is impossible (after 5 tries). With so many great small restaurants struggling. The reservation system Monocacy Crossing has established, I fear, will cause the establishment more damage than good. I just hope such a great restaurant can sustain it's self in these troubling times. We would love to dine there but how if you can't get a table.More

This is quickly becoming a staple when in the area. Good for celebrating something or simply having an excellent night out with your significant other. The food is delicious and the service is always excellent. Servings are plentiful but if you are careful- instead of...an appetizer, you can also save room for dessert.More

My husband and I were given a gift card to this restaurant and we decided to make a date night out of it. We made an online reservation and even though we arrived 15 minutes early, we were seated right away. The place was crowded...for a Wednesday night. We both ordered the Shrimp, Scallop, Crab Risotto with Creamy Red Pepper Coulis. It was delicious! Our only regret was that we did not splurge and order the full portion instead of the half as it was that good! The full portion was priced at $28 whereas the Half was $18. The half portion contained about 3 shrimp, 2 scallops and pieces of crab.I needed more of that goodness! It was served with very tasty thin snap peas. Salads were priced separately which were not suggested when our waitress took our order. A small basket of bread and whipped butter was served. Our iced teas were in smallish glasses but were refilled. Our waitress was friendly and efficient.More

This was our first time there with old friends on New Years eve. The food and service was excellant. American style food with some novel twists, - like deep fried deviled eggs with crab meat. Definitely will come back again.

We've been going to Monocacy Crossing for years - for special occaisions and socializing with friends and family - the food is delicious, the service is attentive without being overbearing, it's not loud....can't say too many good things about it. The week after our last...visit we went to another nice restaurant elsewhere for someone's birthday; the costs were about the same, but the difference in food (especially) and to some degree service was notable to me.More

Monocacy Crossing is our favorite restaurant in the Frederick, MD area. The food is always creative and delicious. The servers are friendly, engaging and attentive. The owners Rich and Kelly Regan have created and maintained an absolute gem. Each time we make a reservation, we...anticipate the combination of delicious food and a relaxing, comfortable setting. We are never disappointed. Sometimes, we just order a bunch of appetizers and enjoy the drink creations or wine selection. It is hard to pry a rating of "5" out of me, but I have not hesitation rating Monocacy Crossing as "5".More

We stopped here on our way south. Some friends recommended it and we went because of that. We both had salmon which was done with pecans and maple flavor. Not much Choice of sides, but what we had was good. Desserts were large, but good....We could have split one.More

We don't have a specific children's menu. We do try to accommodate our younger guests by offing chicken tenders or buttered noodles & we do not have a split plate charge.
