We wanted to visit Black Hog BBQ but learned their downtown location is closed on Sunday's . Luckily they have two other locations and we jumped up to the Urbana location. Food was amazing! Homemade Lemonade was great. Even our service was spot on. We will be back!

I was born and raised in Texas. I have sought out great BBQ and finally found it. We bought this for my son's wedding rehearsal. The food is fresh and the flavor is exceptional. Thank you for making this event spectacular.

I have eaten at Black Hog numerous times over the past several years, most recently on Jan. 5, 2016. The food has been consistently outstanding and the service has always been topnotch. I think the best way to describe the food is to quote two friends I took with me on separate occasions. Each said "These are the best ribs... More

It's really just about the barbecue. Tuesday specials are also great featuring slab of ribs for 15 dollars.

The location is downtown Frederick in an old automobile radiator shop. Fine menu of wet or dry BBQ. Parking in the rear of building.

We stopped on the way home from DC to Pittsburgh. I highly recommend this stop for dinner. We had the Carolina pork, the brisket and 1/2 chicken. Each one was delicious. We sampled the BBQ sauces and loved the Kansas City BBQ sauce. Portion sizes were a little small and we selected the platter with 2 sides. We almost ordered... More

My wife and I visited in mid-December on a Wednesday for a late lunch. Both of us had the half-rack of ribs, a very generous portion. My wife got hers with sauce and I tried the dry rub. Both ways were excellent. Her side was potato salad and mine was mac and cheese. Both sides were first rate though the... More

Had a mid day lunch type of meal. We were greeted warmly by the friendly proprietor. Both of us got the two meats platter. The traditional brisket was ok, but not extraordinary. The Arkansas brisket was better. Both servings were quite small compared to what I am used to at a bbq place. In all, good flavors, nice folks.

I don't know if I would say this is the best BBQ in town, but it is pretty good. The food is a little pricey and the side items are small. The food overall was good. Given the choice I would prefer Famous Dave's next time I am craving BBQ, you get more bang for your buck
