We came in for a late lunch during the work week. Our server was wonderful, the view from the second floor window was perfect. Great ambience. The food was good, the chicken breast served sliced on the salad entree was dry. Otherwise, the food was very good. I always love coming here and sitting in this area, or at the... More

We usually like to sit at the bar. Bartenders are friendly & knowledgeable, most have been there for several years. The bar menu has some of the best burgers in town and their pizza is great too. Their onion rings are like tasty donut like dessert with the sweet breaking. You must try them.

Went with my family for dinner on a busy Saturday. We were seated on the upper floor. Food was delicious and restaurant is decorated nicely in an upscale tavern style. My only complaint was the restaurant was extremely noisy. We had to talk loudly to have a conversation at the table. We had the hangar steak, amish pumpkin gnocchi, scallop... More

Sitting by the window, upstairs, watching the world go by...you have to try the salmon patty (if they make em the day you come)! Next, their famous pastrami/cheese sandwich was great, but had to take half home. My wife highly recommends the pumpkin cheesecake. Yummy, quality, and well presented. A local recommended this place and we loved it. Follow Trip... More

We spent the weekend in Frederick with some friends and ate here for brunch Sunday morning. They food was delicious, and we were very impressed that they print menus daily. The service was outstanding, and they have a really cool atmosphere.

A friend and I stopped in Frederick while on the road and enjoyed our meal very much. There was a trio playing light jazz music. Our server Patrick was attentive without being intrusive. The portabella mushroom sandwich was succulent and delicious and the kitchen was able to make it without dairy for me. A great experience and I'd go back!

Recommended by a co worker. We went for lunch. Parking was us getting lucky on a busy street. We found parking immediate outside. Seated immediately. Wait staff were nice and attentive. Small glasses of water and I am a drinker. I had the pastrami sandwich with potatoes salad. The sandwich was incredible the potato salad was bland. Get the truffle... More

I've been to Firestone's several times recently to grab drinks at the bar, but it had been a few years since I sat down to a full dinner. 15 years ago this place was really more of a dive serving just bar food. However, they've really moved up to a full-on fine dining experience. All of the ingredients are treated... More

I really want to love this restaurant because of the cool, two story interior and atmosphere. But the locals refer to it as a yuppy bar, and it's pretty true. Went here for drinks with friends and our tab was a bit unreasonable compared to the other bars on the strip. Another time hubby and I shared two plates and... More

We had dinner here and were not disappointed. We were seated at a table on the second floor by the window which looked out over the street. We also were lucky to find on street parking, but there was a parking garage nearby. Our waitress was delightful and honest when asked for recommendations. We started with the crab dip served... Firestone's Culinary Tavern, opened in 1999, is located in downtown Frederick's picturesque Historic District. It is housed in a 1921 building that was initially the home of Shipley's Department Store. The restaurant combines outstanding cuisine with the casual atmosphere of a neighborhood tavern. The Washington Post says, "the atmosphere is prime...the food is, too!".
