We had a superb meal here with friends - they specially prepared us a tomato and lettuce salad which was not standard on the menu. The ladies had lamb chops which they said were great. Us men had the risotto and the bull tail stew. We rounded it off with a selection from the deserts again a good selection particularly... More

We found this restaurant when exploring the town. After an indifferent meal the first nights we ate here for the following 2. Delicious food , lovely surroundings , a must especially when avoiding the food in the Parador. Waiter could not do enough for us and gave us a tour of the building which was an old mill and charmingly... More

Very nice restaurant in Zafra, good afternoon menu offered. Lovely location, cute indoor patio to enjoy lunch. Very near one of the entrances to the old city.

La Marquesa is the best restaurant in town. Great dishes of outstanding quality. I highly recommend this place which is roughly a ten minute walk from Parador de Zafra. Not easy to find but definitely worth to visit. The meat from the grill is fantastic and also the freshness of ingredients have impressed me as food lover!

When we were walking by the Restaurante La Marquesa, a nice lady smiled at us and said "You have to enter and see it - you will not regret". We entered and we are happy that we did. The atmosphere of the place is really unique. The restaurant is situated in an old building, where you can admire beautifully exposed... More

Excellent atmosphere with tables inside or outside on a charming patio and roof terrace. Had the taster menu for two people and it was incredibly good - very high quality food. The waiter was very helpful and didn't want to accept a tip! Ate there a second time as it had been such a good experience. No negatives.

I went here recently with friends from a nearby town, Jerez de los Caballeros. We had several dishes, all of which were very good. We were eating in the early afternoon on a Sunday, and the place was nearly empty. Service was excellent. About 11 euros per person with bottled water and soft drinks (i.e., no alcohol).

We overnighted in Zafra and stumbled across this restaurant as we were walking around. What a perfect find - atmosphere looked brilliant inside and out, we ate on the patio. Waiter couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, food was beautiful, good value, and the perfect night out.

I was in Zafra with a group of 40 people and had pre-booked a group meal at La Marquesa. The food was exquisite and the service was very attentive. The restaurant is very attractive inside. The staff dealt with the demands of a large group with different needs very effectively. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant and will... More

La Marquesa is by far the best restaurant in town. The friendliness of this family run establishment together with it´s superb detailed decoration, magical patio and excellent food at surprisingly moderate prices, turns any aperitif, lunch or dinner into a celebration.
