I have lived in Concord for 30 years. My first home was adjacent to and rented from the Inn, and I had my first of many meals there within the first week. For most of those 3 decades, the food was inconsistent, over-priced and boring. People who lived in Concord didn't tend to eat in the main restaurant, and were... More

We visited Concord after a trip to the Old Manse (which was once home of Emerson and Nathanial Hawthorne) and the North Bridge nearby. The Colonial Inn is ideally located in this quaint 'chocolate box' town. We arrived late afternoon and were shown to a small table for 4 on the outdoor terrace. Service was slow, but the waitress was... More

Food was good but I expected more. Had the salmon burger. Nothing to complain about but then again nothing to write home about. There are definitely better choices in the close vicinity.

They took our reservations for 13 of us and we were pleased that this beautiful old historical site/restaurant was perfect. Not too upscale, but very enjoyable with a good selection of meal choices. Our waitress was delightful, attentive and helpful in selections. History in every corner of this wonderful place.

We stopped for lunch -- a nice place to rest and we hardly knew the road was right there. I just wish the waitress hadn't told us their "specialty beer" was regular Sam Adams. So much for the specialness! A little pricey, but a dining experience we don't have at home.

It lived up to my expectations, they can get a crowd by offering OK food at OK prices, but don't expect anything great. We were a party of 7, but that didn't mean half of us should get our menu's handed to us upside down, they weren't That busy! The service was, well disinterested is the best word I could... More

I visited to listen to live music and was blown away by the cool decor/ambience of the building. Great sound on the music, and the flourless chocolate cake was absolutely amazing! Only downside was that I had to keep going back to the bar to get any service (wouldn't come to our table). Wish I could've gone for dinner, too,... More

Very nice Inn with real historic value. Clean and very well maintained its a little time travel in every room. Highly recommend if you want to connect back with the 17th- 18th century of the east coast

After a very hot morning of immersion into the "shot heard around the world"... and learning to "muster....march...and pretend shooting".. We had lunch at the Colonial Inn where Sam Adams and his Sons of Liberty hung out, and hid their arms. We all had one of the burgers with French Fried Sweet Potatoes...Yummo!... It's one of those burgers too big... More

We went to The colonial Inn with friends to Celebrate our Anniversary. We ate in the Merchants Row Dining Room. We had an excellent waiter and he recommended different dishes and wine. I ordered the Yankee Pot Roast which was outstanding. Everyone ordered something different and we all enjoyed our food, wine and desserts. The Atmosphere is historic and very... More
