When it comes to a great meal in the heart of the Empordà there's only a few that rival the Ibèric in Ullastret. The "fideus amb llamàntol" (with lobster) are just excellent. Also recommended the "bacallà a la grandi colloni", the grilled lobster and the fresh fish and meat selection. Great cellar with wines from the Empordà and elsewhere. The service is also friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

Everything, really everything, is always a 10. The quality of the product (and I have fish stores throughout that area, and let it be known that I am not their supplier), since the owner buys directly at the fish markets in Palamós and Roses, the service is friendly and impeccable, without being overwhelming, and the value for money is outstanding. Everything is exquisite, but personally, their lobster noodles are beyond measure. Fabulous desserts, but the Empordà cream and grilled “xuxu” is insanely brutal. It couldn't be better, we were a group of 10 and we all ordered the €52 all-inclusive menu. We have been going to this restaurant for more than 30 years and we never order meat, always fish and we finish with their lobster noodles. The service very pleasant and attentive. I can't wait to go again, the whole group has congratulated me, it's nice to look so good.

My opinion is that it is still a 10, we have been visiting it for more than 30 years and its star dish for me is the noodles with lobster and they are still exactly as good as the first time. Overall everything is perfect, food of very good quality and well cooked, they have a menu that includes wine and costs €52 or €57.
For me the menu is perfect. I hope to go again this vacation.

It is eaten well but the fish rations are reduced affecting the value for money. It ends up being expensive compared to its close competition in Palau Sator or Peratallada. Being at night we did not try its star dish, the lobster noodles that include in a 55 euro menu that looked good. Another day.

The seafood and fish dishes we ordered were not bad, but what we ordered was meat, in this case grilled chicken thigh, a disaster, dry meat, which I doubt had seen the embers and which when cut was still cold from having taken it out of the refrigerator a few minutes ago. We were here 6 years ago on a slow Fall afternoon. We were the only ones in the dining room. It was wonderful then and this time it was even better. We arrived a little early for our 3 pm lunch and it was packed. I had made the reservation from the US on What’sApp. In no time they had a great terrace table for us. We ordered the special of the day and added a plate of snails to the octopus, and shrimp appetizers followed by a great lobster stew. On this trip to Spain I have learned about the dessert “recuit ”. It is never exactly the same but this was the best—both ice cream and cheese with honey. We love the Costa Brava and this restaurant will always be on our itinerary.

Spectacular restaurant, always perfect in food and service so attentive. I go very often but I would like to go more but I am far from Sabadell, today we went with my wife, children, daughter-in-law and grandchildren to celebrate two birthdays, it has been everything perfect and with many details on account of the restaurant. Very grateful for the attention received. Lobster lobster and noodles are never missing from the super menu.
I hope I can come back in August.

After wandering around the village we decided to have lunch at the Iberic. Although there was a birthday party going on at the time both the service and food were first class. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.

i say french as its noricable we are near france here and you have this stunning french influence as well as Authentic catalan -food- the place is one of the best for authentic catalan food in spain its as simple as that --its real its truthful none pretending a little RUSTIC = great -- - this and Bonay in peretallada are my favorite eating places of this style of food -loved the snails frogs leggs fresh fish and the BABY WILD BIRDS cooked on open fire --they serve these shot from the madramania mountains jan - march its a must guys --

Service is welcoming and professional. Restaurant is nice.
Ingredients are fresh and good quality but most of them destroyed at the kitchen. Grilled fish was salty and overcooked, pork over cooked and dry, sparragus with to much vinegar.
Deserts were excellent that's why I don't rate lower.

We came to eat lunch as we visited the quaint old town of Ullastret and fell in love with their food. We both had the extremely flavorful lamb chops, simply grilled with chips. But before that, we had langoustine special which were sweet and delicious. For desert we had the “shu shu” a donut-like pastry filled with creme pat that was served wam. Divine!!!
A couple days later we made a trip especially to come back to Iberic and this time, we shared a huge bowl (2 person min) of their mixed seafood (lobster, muscles, squid), Iberian pork, and mushroom paella. Nothing to really look at but what an amazing taste, full of umami and richness!
They even helped make a take away bag of lamb chops, beef cheeks, and a salad for us to have for dinner later in the evening!
We can’t recommend Restaurant Iberic highly enough!
Oh, and we had the “shu shu” for desert again!

For one, Ullastret is a City Full of history and really nice to walk around. Even better, that the restaurant Iberic is such a wonderful restaurant. Very nice staff, with excellent recommendations on the food and the wine. It definitely is worthwhile to travel a bit to the rural parts of the Costa Brava.
