When it comes to a great meal in the heart of the Empordà there's only a few that rival the Ibèric in Ullastret. The "fideus amb llamàntol" (with lobster) are just excellent. Also recommended the "bacallà a la grandi colloni", the grilled lobster and the...fresh fish and meat selection. Great cellar with wines from the Empordà and elsewhere. The service is also friendly and professional. Highly recommended.More

Service is welcoming and professional. Restaurant is nice. Ingredients are fresh and good quality but most of them destroyed at the kitchen. Grilled fish was salty and overcooked, pork over cooked and dry, sparragus with to much vinegar. Deserts were excellent that's why I don't...rate lower.More

We came to eat lunch as we visited the quaint old town of Ullastret and fell in love with their food. We both had the extremely flavorful lamb chops, simply grilled with chips. But before that, we had langoustine special which were sweet and delicious....For desert we had the “shu shu” a donut-like pastry filled with creme pat that was served wam. Divine!!! A couple days later we made a trip especially to come back to Iberic and this time, we shared a huge bowl (2 person min) of their mixed seafood (lobster, muscles, squid), Iberian pork, and mushroom paella. Nothing to really look at but what an amazing taste, full of umami and richness! They even helped make a take away bag of lamb chops, beef cheeks, and a salad for us to have for dinner later in the evening! We can’t recommend Restaurant Iberic highly enough! Oh, and we had the “shu shu” for desert again!More

For one, Ullastret is a City Full of history and really nice to walk around. Even better, that the restaurant Iberic is such a wonderful restaurant. Very nice staff, with excellent recommendations on the food and the wine. It definitely is worthwhile to travel a...bit to the rural parts of the Costa Brava.More

Chanced on this place by accident and were so glad we did, truly a great menu with lots of different dishes that I would have loved to tried. We had Minced garlic and salted cod - baked asparagus - mussles done white vinegar and olive...oil (something else in there that I could not make out) and a magnificent salad with sweet onions (would have eaten a plate of these on my own) a bottle of good cava , bottle of sparkling water and 3 good coffee's 57 euro's what more could you want - the rest of the menu was amazing - highly recommendMore

Not a shadow of what used to be. Poor ‘grey’ service. Questionable quality and kitchen skills, cold plates, frozen potato sticks ,expensive. What a let down. I suspect change of ownership.

We all enjoyed the fresh fish and most delicious lobster rice casserole. It was brilliant!! We also liked the wine, the service and the super skinny, tasty French fries. would love to return!!

On a recent visit to the Girona and Costa Brava regions of Catalonia in northeastern Spain I had the welcome opportunity of enjoying dinner at the Ibèric ('Iberian') restaurant in the small village of Ullastret, located just a few miles from the coast. The dinner...was superb in all respects, with genuine Catalan cuisine consisting of lots of fresh and grilled vegetables, seafood, and tremendous wines from the local Empordà appellation. A wonderful experience. The restaurant is family owned and run by three brothers. Enthusiastically recommended!!!More

We stopped here for lunch on a cycle ride around the area. We only ordered chicken and chips as we didn't want anything too heavy before continuing on our way in the sunshine. Waiter was v friendly. He gave us a cold octopus starter to...dry which was delicious with the bread. We were also given some little chocolate drops to have with coffee. They melted in the mouth. All in all, was a lovely experience and would go back to try one of the tasty looking and smelling rice casseroles.More
