Food is ok but go for the flamenca!

We visited twice with family, even out of holiday season you need to book to get a table. The first time we had the set menu so did not pay a supplement food was ok but a bit in the cold side. The second time we ate from the menu which you have to pay a surcharge, this was better... read more

This is a fairly small restaurant, although there are several rooms in good weather. The quality of the food is good and they have an excellent selection of wine available by the glass or bottle. We like to go on the special Flaminco nights (usually Thursday and Sunday but check as schedules change). This is 'real Flaminco with the duende... More

We stopped here for a quick snack and a few beers. We ordered food but then the waiter gave us some tapas which were very good. We didn't realize they served tapas with a drink. The food we ordered came out and it was really good. The portions were big. (Day time?)

A very small venue, you must book. The food was very good, but for the money the portion sizes were quite small. You were obviously paying for the excellent flamenco show. Definitely worth going. I would have scored it 5 if the portion sizes had been bigger.

Easy to find and easy to book in advance with ample car parking nearby. I was a little surprised to find the place wasn't full given its a busy resort. Food was good overall, though my medium steak was rare in places, with Spanish food predominating on the menu. Kids said their food was ok (pizza). The entertainment was good... More

This is a small venue (serves more or less 30 people max in the front section where the show is) with a nice flamenco show. One of the waitresses told us they have 2 different flamenco groups/shows, so which one you'll see will depend on the day. We went on a Thu with a reservation and we had a front... More

Following a visit to Tourist Information in La Herradura we were advised about La Ventura in Almunecar. We went there on Sunday night and had the Menu Degustacion for Euros 29 which included 2 drinks. The food was delicious with a very friendly service. Our table was right at the front and we could see the Guitar players forming the... More

All but one of us had the taster menu, which had multiple courses which were very nicely presented and, appropriately, tasty. If you order a la carte, there is a 40% markup for the performance. The locale is a semi-outdoor small courtyard in the middle of buildings, and has a nice ambiance and is not too hot. We arrived 30... More

The evening show started at 9.45pm and we told that it would be 3 hours of flamenco. However it turned out to be 3 half hour shows over the 3 hour period. In addition food prices are inflated by 40% during this period to cover the cost of the show. To me this just seemed a crazy was to structure... More

An excellent venue - food and wine great (tip - try the taster menu), service first class, flamenco dancing, singing and exquisite Spanish guitar, all with a good crowd and ambience.
