You MUST try Senegalese Food! Senegal is known for serving some of the best food in the world! Bamba cuisine offers authenticity and amazing dishes as they import the finest ingredients from Senegal! We literally DRIVE to Florida from Iowa in order to eat here!...And Mamadou always greets us with a smile! (This is the first review I've ever written about anything- It's that good!!!)More
Had lunch with my sister today and took her to this great Senegalese restaurant in Atlanta. I have been here before but today I tried something new. We wanted appetizers and the chef hand made some for us. Combined with ground beef & lamb with...spices and then rolled in a tasty dough, both of these different appetizers were outstanding. Our main course was curry chicken and I have never had a dish like this before. Baked with onions, spices carrot, cabbage, sweet potato and cassava this curry caught me completely by surprise and left me extremely happy.More
We were on a quest to eat all the food types we can't get at home while we were visiting ATL. This was an excellent find. I have no idea how close it is to Senegalese food...but it was very good. We got the Thiebou...Djeun which we both really enjoyed. Before you get a boring Coca-cola out of the cooler, notice that there are 3 types of drinks in unlabeled plastic bottles that are made in house...one is a ginger/pineapple drink, one is hibiscus, and the other is a smoothie type drink (I think it's called boyue) . I got the smoothie and it was delicious; very light and fruity with a bit of tartness.More
It was our first time visiting ATL and after traveling by car for more than 13hrs you can imagine how beat and hungry we were. All we wanted was some good home styled African food. therefore, we searched for one and found Bamba Cuisine, from...outside, the place did not look appealing at all, thus, we were pretty skeptical about entering. Then we decided to try it out, and boy I tell you that each and every bite from my plate, to my sister's plate, to our friend's plate left us SPEECHLESS!!! I mean there were no words to describe the amazing, incredible feeling each one of us felt as we kept digging into our plates. I literally had tears in my eyes because it brought me back to two of my home countries; Senegal & Guinea. We staid In ATL for 4 nights and I promise you that we went every single day until the day we left. and we still talk about this place today. Their Customer service was the icing on top of a cake and the cherry on top. You have not visited ATL If you haven't stopped at Bamba Cuisine to savor their phenomenal dishes.More
We stopped in today for a late lunch. The lamb chops and whole tilapia were amazing. Will be returning next week!
We just arrived from the Airport, and followed up on a suggestion to go try a new spot that features dishes native to Senegal. I admit - we love trying new, different, and most important - Authentic - and this was a first for us...to experience Senegalese food. AMAZING!!! We started off w/ 2 starters....both great - Nems was our favorite - the dipping sauce makes it! And don't miss the Dibi Khar (lamb chops!)....and the Dibi Ganar (Chicken) - Oh my Gosh - very tender, so much flavor! Also, try the Sorrel juice with fresh mint. In all, Deep rich flavors - truly worth the trip! As a regular customer just waking in said... "It's like Heaven on Earth" -very happy right now !More
I have passed this location hundreds of times and never stopped however today I went for lunch. Who knew the food was so good. I was taken aback by the small size of the restaurant but as soon as someone saw me the atmosphere was...friendly and fabulous. I read an extensive menu of African food and saw a few items that I had never heard of, but today I wanted fish. The chef individually prepared a whole snapper for me with a Senegalese pasta and vegs. I was in a perfect place for the fish was seasoned well, the pasta was a completely new experience for me and there was a spicy bit to the vegetables. I have since called my family and told them that we will be having dinner here one day next week.More
