You haven't had a true Atlanta Tradition Experience if you haven't eaten in the CNN room at a 1970's school desk (that might -or might not have chewing gum underneath). Cheeseburgers are good, but slaw and chili-dogs with a side of onion rings, CocaCola WITH CRUSHED ICE and a Frosted Orange are a must. Service Team works like a machine...funny,... More

The Varsity. What can you say? I go here for tradition and atmosphere more than the food. The food is predictable and is good, although I did notice my food was a little cool. Other than that, enjoyable visit.

For some reason this place is a Atlanta tourist trap. The place is packed most if the time but the food is not great. The hotdogs are made in house but aren't seasoned well. Also, the food is really expensive. I would not recommend.

It's a huge place, both as a drive-in/drive-up place and a very large restaurant with counter service and seating for hundreds. The menu is pretty much burgers, hot dogs, fries and onion rings, shakes, and soft drinks. The burgers are passable, the onion rings drip with grease, the frozen orange shakes are good. Fine to visit once, but there are... More

This place came highly recommended from some friends but was a complete waste of time and money. It was dirty, the food was overpriced and wasn't even that good to be honest. They had teenagers running around because it was a hangout spot which is cool if they're being respectful of other customers but they were not. I will never... More

Since the varsity is an attraction in downtown, we stopped in to check it out, the atmosphere is fun, the food is good for family's with young children wanting burgers, fries and hotdogs, the chili is good because it's different than most fast food places

This is a great place to plan a fast lunch. I don't recommend going on game day, but for some, that experience is the "real deal!" It is a throwback of Happy Days meets a local fare. The good is average and the menu not too much. Prices are very low for comparable foods elsewhere, but the experience is one... More

The food was good, however the staff is a little slow. Chili dog, fries and sweet tea was very good. Onion rings look delicious but I didn't indulge. The restaurant is very large with lots of seating area.

Fast food joints like the Varsity get a bad rap. The Varsity is an expierence as much as a great place to eat. A definite must for any Visitor, it used to be called the largest fast food restaurant in the world. I recommend chilie slaw dawg!! With onion rings

"Whatta ya have?Whatta ya have?" If your response is greasy, fast food - you're in luck! I grew up in Atlanta's suburbs & the Varsity was always a popular stop after football or baseball games. It's more about the history of the place & the atmosphere of being right downtown close to EVERYTHING than it is about the food. I... More
