Hostess greeted me with a smile and sat me right away. My server was also very friendly and attentive. The biggest gripe I have is that my medium rare pimento cheeseburger came out medium and totally charred and hard on one side. The cook obviously...More

Excellent service, good atmosphere. I felt well taken care of here. It is moderately priced as we were a family of four and we paid about $150 including the tip.

The food here was wonderful! Their fried chicken delightful and their mashed potatoes melted in my mouth. The staff was super friendly which made the experience even better! Highly recommend.

Words cannot adequately express how MUCH I love this restaurant. We go there for business lunches at least once a month, and it is a group favorite, hands down. I love their chicken livers. Everything on the menu is like their signature dish. There are...More

I have never been a fried chicken eater but their waffle with fried chicken fingers is amazing. So is their wheatberry salad with strawberries. A couple years ago they had the salad with peaches. Their biscuits and corn muffins are a meal in themselves. And...More

In my husband’s view this restaurant was “the best” of the restaurants we visited during the time we spent in the Southern states last September. In fact it was purely by accident that we ended up dining there on the last night of our stay...More

Arrived about 11:45/12 on a Sunday and had no wait. We order the friend green tomato appetizer, which was a new flavorful take on the dish! Loved it! We also ordered the jumbo lump crap cake and the traditional style eggs Benedict with cheesy grits!...More

Likely not but if you call ahead I'm sure you could get them to accommodate. If your party is that big I'm not sure this the the place for you.

Description
Celebrating over 18 year as one of Atlanta's favorite restaurants, South City Kitchen Midtown specializes in contemporary Southern cuisine with a sophisticated twist. Combining the energy of Atlanta with the warmth of a Southern home, the restaurant is nestled in an updated, historic bungalow on the city's famous Crescent Avenue. Dine on local Southern favorites such as shrimp and grits, buttermilk fried chicken, she-crab soup, fried green tomatoes and banana pudding while enjoying the view of our exhibition kitchen or the city skyline on one of the best patios in the city. This truly is dining the way the new South intended.
