I enjoyed the trout, greens and mac n cheese. The concept of writing out your own selection is great. Doesn't leave chances for wrong order! As a first time customer I got pot likker and cornbread.

This place is just charming. A great menu with southern dishes that include chicken livers, tomato pie, fried green tomatoes. Everything was wonderful and very reasonably priced. The place is quite large and has parking lot in the rear. While it does have a full bar, my waiter had to make my mixed drink. It took a while for my,... More

Everything went so well. The service was outstanding from planning to the dinner. Everyone was so helpful. The people who attended raved about the food and service weeks after the party was over. Some even returned ! Thanks for making my retirement party memorable !!!

We first visited Mary Mac's 30 years ago while visiting Atlanta on a relocation trip. Mary Lupo owned and greeted customers. I still have her cookbook which she kindly offered to autograph. It's a wonderful place to see Atlanta politicians while you enjoy Southern food. We all have our favorite dishes and the rolls are superb. Ms. Lupo sold the... More

Having been advised by an Atlanta native to visit this highly acclaimed institution of southern hospitality and cuisine, our expectations soared when we were greeted and served with such charm and effusiveness that we just knew great cuisine couldn't be long in coming. It didn't. Missing from the bread basket were traditional southern biscuits that do so well soaked in... More

It's not that the food here is incredible but it's very southern in menu and atmosphere and location. The history and the longevity of the servers are the precipitous for my visits.

Had a fabulous lunch with friends before my grandson's flight came in. I had fried chicken, with baked macaroni & cheese and cabbage with key lime pie for dessert. Our waiter was August and he was so attentive
