My wife & I wanted to get some classic southern food while we were in Atlanta because it is hard to find any in Arizona where we live. This restaurant fit the bill perfectly. Fried green tomatoes, pan fried catfish, collard greens, cheesy grits, pickled watermelon rind, & Georgia peach cobbler all yummy! Friendly service too!

I've been here twice while attending conferences nearby. It is definitely touristy, but food is great if you're in the mood for traditional Southern food. The side bar, their version of a salad bar, has huge variety, so be sure to try. I recommend getting splitting the entree so you have more room to try side bar dishes.

Unfortunately, my first visit to this Atlanta restaurant was a dud! I am originally from the South and was looking forward to southern fried chicken and the fixings to go with it. We were seated promptly with our reservation. The service was slow and cumbersome throughout the meal. We had the distinct pleasure of having the world’s worst mint julep... More

I sat on the porch, and even though it was in the high 80s the fans kept it comfortable. Good selection of local and other meals.

That southern home cooking was dynamite. Everything is homemade fresh daily. The corn bread, the fried chicken, greens, mac & cheese, the deserts. OMG... I can go on.You will be very upset if you don't try it.

We walked to the eatery from our hotel the Homes2. It was just around the corner. I ordered the chicken, but enjoyed my friends ribs the best. The salad bar is by far one of the best. Mannnn, that chicken salad and mashed potatoes were the bomb!!!.. I hope to return one day soon. I was struggling with stairs (as... More

Having recently visited Natchez, MS where I developed a love for a good mint julep, decided to try this restaurant. Atmosphere was just okay and their claim for the porch rocking chairs not at all impressive. The mint julep before dinner was horrible. Food was average, wait staff accommodating, but felt there could be vast improvements in a lot of... More

My friend and I were actually looking for another restaurant when we came across Pittypat's. I was tired of walking up the hill, so we decided to eat here for dinner. Best choice ever. The salad bar was amazing. Succulent chicken salad, balsamic tomato salad was refreshing and I even tried the pickled watermelon rinds (not bad). My friend got... More
