I was dining alone and came here for dinner. I ordered the combo fried chicken and bbq ribs. The chicken was crispy and had lots of flavor. The ribs were also good and not too sweet. I really wanted some grits and the combo does not come with grits. The salad bar was average and it was included with my... More

I was hoping the prices would have been a little more down home, like the food and service but it's in downtown Atlanta so it's very pricey. We enjoyed everything with drinks and dinner though.

Excellent service. Food was good but very expensive. Interesting building and location. Cool rocking chairs and salad bar was good.

We tried crawfish dip, blackeyed pea cakes and fried green tomatoes. Several people tried the fried chicken. Catfish, pork chops and shrimp and grits. Dinners come with salad bar too. The southern ambience is a pleasant experience. No room for the southern desserts after such a large meal. Great downtown option.

We ate there as part of a large group (19 people!) and they accommodated us very well--including providing separate checks! The food was very tasty. I had the fried chicken, which was excellent. It's a nice spot in the heart of downtown Atlanta.

We order fried green tomatoes that were ok but not really southern cooking. We waited more than an hour to be acknowledge by our waiter who then argued with us about bring out our food. We left after our food was dropped on the table. It didn't look appealing and we left without eating. Go anywhere else, this place is... More

How would have thought to make a potato salad out of sweet potatoes. It's sweet and savory all in one. The Watermelon punch is awesome. Had the catfish fingers as my dinner and they had just enough kick of spice to make me happy. Hot sweet potato pie is to die for.

Had not been here in about 10 yrs, wanted to go for anniversary dinner as a experience. Place is charming in a dark kind of way, Help is very friendly. Food is very disappointing. Supposedly famous for fried chicken, is not worthy of a southern cook, Had the ribs and chicken combo, ribs were cooked nicely but overly smothered in... More

The inside of this oldest downtown Atlanta restaurant is huge. Gone With The Wind themed. I am always pleased when I walk into a restaurant and the people working there have some age on them, it speaks of good things to come. Not disappointed. The side bar had a collection of southern style food I'd never tasted and it was... More

Downtown Atlanta's Oldest Southern Dining restaurant since 1967. We are a "Gone With the Wind" themed restaurant, a place where the characters presence are felt from the menu to the overall decor to the memorabilia on the walls. We have created a menu of Southern classics that have been enjoyed by groups large and small from the moment we opened our doors. Dishes such as, Aunt Pittypat's Fried Chicken, 12 Oaks BBQ Ribs, Georgia Catfish, just to name a few. Our menu also includes delicious appetizers and tempting desserts made fresh in our bakery daily. We have a full bar, plus draft beer by local breweries and a Specialty Drink menu to wet your whistle. So come on by and let us show you our Southern Hospitality!
