The food and service are unbelievable. Everything is so good you can't find anything that's not good. You have got to go here for one of the best dining experiences you will ever have. Don't miss out on this restaurant. If you are on a business dinner and want to impress your client. This is the place.

My husband and I were visiting Atlanta and went to Hal's upon the recommendation of a friend. We initially went for cocktails and an appetizer, but decided upon dinner as well. Martini's were perfect, wines very well priced, and creamed spinach to die for! Great fish and veal entrees. Could not have enjoyed our evening more.

First, one of the few restaurants in Atlanta that will not allow you to bring in your own wine for a corkage fee...and then their wine markups are about 3x retail! I had a fried lobster tail that was tough, chewy and generally disappointing for a restaurant that prides itself on food quality. The one positive was our waiter who... More

Hal's was a great dinner. One of our party had eaten there before and knew to order the special off-the-menu lobster appetizer. That's a must-have for even non-seafood eaters. Blackened filet was cooked to perfection. Everyone in our party enjoyed their choices. However, don't order lemonade or lemonade-based cocktail; it will show up with a lemon wedge only!

Beeing there for a dinner with 10 collegues, first time there. Rated good and advised to be expensive. The place is big and elegant but did not feel fresh and well kept. We got placed in a separate privet room that was nice but the room itself was kind of old. We waited a lot to be served: ordered only main... More

I had heard nice things about this old favorite in Buckhead. Don't get me wrong, it was nice. Decent wine list, good service, good food. But it wasn't a place I will need to go back to over and over. And that's saying something. The decor is right up my alley and if it were a touch better, it could... More

We went to Hal's for a company dinner and, based on most of the other reviews, we caught them on an average night. For the food, some things were great - the beef carpaccio and shrimp remoulade. Others were just average - the lobster bisque and my filet medallions oscar. I'm sure the restaurant itself is an Atlanta institution but... More

So I have options. I also have opinions. In my professional opinion when I am presented steak options I often chose Hal's. Yes, it is a throwback of a restaurant - maybe to the '50s. I could see the mad men hanging in there. They allow smoke. Yes, it can be crowded. Yes, you may get hit on by your... More
