Service was excellent. Steak was cold. I did not send it back because I did not want to disrupt my business discussion. Tasty but cold.

This was my first visit and it was a little darker than I expected but so are a lot of other places. We sat upstairs to avoid the smokers and the noise. Our server was excellent. He always addressed me by name and was very patient as I tried to figure out what to order. I finally ordered the blackened... More

This restaurant is well-regarded in Atlanta. I am at a loss to understand why. It's very dark, the furnishings are chintzy and extremely dated , the service is stiff and formal but not all that great. Food is acceptable but nothing outstanding and certainly not as interesting as many other places in the same area. The wine is it way... More

Our favorite Atlanta restaurant. Service is always first rate. Attentive and knowledgeable but not overbearing. The lobster bisque, bone in filet, pan seared Chilean sea bass, and tirimasu were all perfect. The sea bass was maybe the best piece of fish I have ever had. Superb cocktails and a fantastic glsss of wine recommendation. All led to another wonderful evening... More

I really loved this restaurant - the menu was great, and the food was perfect! I loved the sea bass - and my friend had an amazing steak. Next time I go to Atlanta I want to go back and have the steak! The service was fantastic - and there was a real buzz about the place. It seemed to... More

The food and service are unbelievable. Everything is so good you can't find anything that's not good. You have got to go here for one of the best dining experiences you will ever have. Don't miss out on this restaurant. If you are on a business dinner and want to impress your client. This is the place.

My husband and I were visiting Atlanta and went to Hal's upon the recommendation of a friend. We initially went for cocktails and an appetizer, but decided upon dinner as well. Martini's were perfect, wines very well priced, and creamed spinach to die for! Great fish and veal entrees. Could not have enjoyed our evening more.

First, one of the few restaurants in Atlanta that will not allow you to bring in your own wine for a corkage fee...and then their wine markups are about 3x retail! I had a fried lobster tail that was tough, chewy and generally disappointing for a restaurant that prides itself on food quality. The one positive was our waiter who... More

Hal's was a great dinner. One of our party had eaten there before and knew to order the special off-the-menu lobster appetizer. That's a must-have for even non-seafood eaters. Blackened filet was cooked to perfection. Everyone in our party enjoyed their choices. However, don't order lemonade or lemonade-based cocktail; it will show up with a lemon wedge only!
