Wait was at least 30 minutes and it was not crowded at all. Staff ok - not super friendly. But, hey, that can all be quickly overlooked if the burger is amazing. Ehhh, it was good. Not great. Way over cooked (see pic). Bread not stale but not super fresh either. Portions were great though. Go with the single patty.... More

I had heard of the Ghetto Burger and wanted to try it for myself. The only burger I've ever eaten with a fork. It's huge!!! Double meat, cheese. lettuce, tomato, onion, chili and bacon. I could not get my mouth around it. And you're going to use a mound of napkins. Worth every bite. I was the first customer of... More

So sad to here about Ms. Ann, but they are still doing a great job running the snack bar. Burgers are fantastic and the fries are made when you order. The staff was so nice, we had a great experience.

I wanted to go someplace different for my birthday and this place had been reviewed on a blog I see. We went for lunch and purposefully timed our arrival to miss the lunch crowd, were able to sit right down. The place is a hoot! You need to be open minded about it - it is not in a good... More

Some friends and I decided to try the ghetto burger here today and it was definitely worth the hype. The burger is huge, I wasn't even able to eat half of it. It is well seasoned and full of flavor. Make sure you bring cash!

Like others, we had read the old Wall St Journal article so we fought the traffic to get there for lunch. Having never been there, we didn't know there were unspoken rules, but we walked through the screened porch and attempted to walk through the door to the inside. All the stools were occupied but we thought perhaps like many... More

I have to agree the burger is one of the BEST I've ever eaten. I advise getting your food to-go. The restaurant has a screened area with fans but really no suitable place to eat. When you see the location, you'll want to get away fast. Staff is quite friendly. I advise any to try the Ghetto Burger, but take... More

Only a few people are ever recognized as doing something better than anyone else in America. What's better than a cheeseburger? And what's a better cheeseburger than Ann's Snack Bar. Did she create the best single dish in the country? Food hand-made by a strong woman with strong opinions, and yes, a sense of humor. No doubt, there's a bar... More

Recently visited this place and the burger was amazing. I only could handle the cheeseburger but if your stomach allows you go for the ghetto burger. This is a landmark. The owner is a sweet old lady filled with a lot of history and stories. Old school establishment so its CASH ONLY.
