No matter how many times you visit Aziz and his staff treat you like a first time diner. The food is always fresh and the bread pudding dessert is one of the best in the city. It's a restaurant you don't want to miss.

The food and the atmosphere were not what I expected. Don't expect to find the level of cuisine that you'd get in New Orleans. Cocktails are okay, but overpriced. I won't go back again. However, the Bartender was very pleasant. I ordered my food to go because there were only a couple of guest there and I didn't feel comfortable.... More

I was on the way back to my hotel and looking for a place to eat. I saw the sign for McKinnon's. To be honest, I almost kept going, but I really wanted some good Creole cooking. The entrance to the place looks very deceiving. The outside looked run down, but the inside was a five star restaurant. The wait... More

First time here but will definitely go back. We met another couple for dinner. Aziz (owner) treated us all like family. We felt special all evening. The service and food were impeccable. The atmosphere is romantic and quite. There was entertainment at the bar and the music was lovely. We were catching up with friends so we stayed in the... More

This place is a rare breed in the heart of Buckhead - old school. Started in 1972, it still has that old world feel, with low ceilings, a wooden bar and ambiance of history and a throwback to when both Atlanta and Buckhead were much smaller. The food is consistently fabulous. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it is what... More

This was my second time to eat at McKinnon's Louisiane Restaurant and it was just as delicious as I remembered. Fresh fish, bread with real butter and beautiful desserts. The dining rooms are very romantic with soft lighting so it makes a great place for special occasions.

My husband had shrimp creole, which he would rate 8 on a scale of 10. I had chicken with soy ginger glaze over rice; the chicken had good flavor but was rather dry. The side salad was very basic, greens weren't cold. It is just across the street from Hyatt Place so is convenient if staying there.

McKinnon's serves over-the-top flavors . . . creamy, spicy, buttery, yummy. They also offer to "tone down" the spice if that's your pleasure. Service was attentive and informative. The appetizer calamari was wonderful as were the fried crab claws. Who needed an entree??? But that was tasty too. This is an old, old, old restaurant but it was lively and... More

This restaurant has been in Buckhead since 1972. It has old atmosphere with paneling in walls, piano bar and white table linens. It's dimly lit and romantic. Service was personable and great! The food was also very good. If you are looking for a quiet place to unwind and talk this is your place. While we enjoyed dinner, it's not... More

McKinnon's is where I took my wife on our first date. It's quiet, the food is superb, and the service is reminiscent of old world quality waiters. Don't let the exterior fool you, this place is worth it.
