Breakfast or lunch, this colorful place should please. Staff been there 100 years...literally, and it's full of regulars who can't make it a week without fried porkchops and eggs. Great coffee, breakfast the way you want it, and friendly service. Gets busy, prepare to wait here as well. But it's a good stop for some home cooking that you can't... More

yes you are correct--it is an atlanta landmark! We even have written confirmation from the governor! Thanks for stopping by--we strive to give the feel of coming home when customers visit. For the last 60 years we still love every minute of providing good food and good service. Thanks again Teresa More

The iced tea was good and waitress efficient. That is the only positive. Food was mediocre at best. I would never recommend this to anyone seeking good southern food.

The food was great service courteous...and there wasn't a long wait for food. You did have to wait to get in...but it wasn't a horrible wait. It was worth it!

My first visit on a Saturday morning. Very busy, but only waited 15 minutes for a solo spot at the counter. Waitress was only interested in the regular customers. I have to ask several times to refill coffee. I ordered eggs medium and they came barely cooked. I did not eat them. I did eat the toast and sausage. Fair... More

This was my time visiting the Silver Skillet. I've heard and read about this famous and historical institution. The breakfast was outstanding and service was great! Thanks.

We traveled to Atlanta for a few days and chose to eat here because of the reviews and family suggestions. I can say, we were not disappointed. Let me start by saying the place is very busy and smallllll inside. My husband is 6'5 so the seating for him was a little tight. I opted for the corn beef hash,... More

We visited the Silver Skillet for the first time this past weekend. We walked from our hotel (Marriott Suites - Midtown) over to the Silver Skillet. The restaurant was very busy, but we didn't have to wait long to be seated. Our server was very prompt and courteous. I order the grilled chicken omelette with grits and it was delicious!... More

Decided to hunt down the Silver Skillet while on holiday in Atlanta as we wanted a proper American diner experience. From the decor to the staff, the Silver Skillet has clearly done its best to maintain a 1950's diner feel - and we loved it! The prices did give away that you were paying for more than just the food... More

You know we loved this place because we ate here three times during our stay. We found it in the information booklet in our hotel room and we just knew we had to try it as these individually-owned historic places are right up our alley. Service was fast, attentive, and felt very personal. You can tell the people who work... More

You feel like you've walked into the 1950s when you enter this open airy restaurant on 14th street. Red leather booths and 1950s or 60s music playing. This place is just for breakfast and lunch, and oh my, what a breakfast! I tried a standard breakfast of 2 soft scrambled eggs, sausage, rye toast and grits; my husband had fried... More
