I have been to Babette's over the years and it still amazes me how good this place is. Every time we have been there either with my wife for a nice quite dinner to our company party on the back deck. Marla and her staff have been great. I already can't wait to get back.

The service was top notch. Robin was our waiter and made wonderful suggestions. I was on the fence between the short rib and chicken. Robin suggested the short rib as he claimed it "would change my world." While it didn't change my world, it was one of the best short ribs I have ever had. It melted off of the... More

A favorite spot of my Atlanta friend. The service from Robin was excellent with good suggestions on the food as well as the wine choice. The short rib dish was cooked perfectly and the dark meat chicken soup was delicious.

We hadn't been for awhile, so we popped in before a show in town and found (taa-da) the new fall menu is in now place. Yummy favorites return. We couldn't resist, the butternut squash agnolotti to start and the braised short rib. Everything tasted just like fall. All washed down by the very reasonably priced côte du Rhône. Service was... Babette's is known for its consistently superb meals and service with many customers returning week after week and year after year. But,voila' new additions to the menu and subtle tweaking of great standbys has elevated the establishment to a new height. I enjoyed the Trout special last evening (the plat du jour is always remarkable) paired with a white Bellaruche... More

We have eaten at this restaurant many times and we always enjoy it. The food is always excellent in quality and preparation and the service is outstanding. The staff is very knowledgeable about food and wine pairings and their recommendations are spot on. Portion sizes are very generous and reasonably priced. On many week nights they have a terrific prix... More

We had an excellent dinner outside on the patio. I had the Grapefruit Marinated Asparagus, with Tomatoes, Olives as my appetizer, and the Alaskan Halibut with a Mustard Vinaigrette and Potato-Leek Gratin for my entree. They were both excellent, and I would be pleased to do as good a job in my kitchen at home. The wines were very food... More

Babette's is one of those restaurants that you can go to and know that every time you'll get excellent food and service. Marla, the chef owner, creates a simple, delicious fare that does not disappoint. Some people may find there aren't enough choices for main courses, though all of the dishes, especially the fish ones, are always delicious. Once you... More

This is a nice, cozy French restaurant on the edge of a neighborhood that is a real treat for Atlantans. The service was attentive, but not overly, and the food was outstanding. We (two couples) loved the menu and plan to go again and explore other dishes. The veal picatta was judged the "table winner", although everyone enjoyed their entrie,... More

Average food but good service. There are a lot of choices in the area, this rates a 5 out of 10 for me. I might return, my wife liked her goat cheese ravioli but my medallions of steak were below average.

Description
"The secret to beautiful food is using the ingredients in their most natural form." At Chef/Owner Marla Adams'Atlanta Restaurant, and with Chef Justin Kurtz now at the helm, life imitates art in a remodeled 1916 bungalow, nestled between the historic Inman Park and Poncey-Highland neighborhoods. You'll feel like a foreign film star as Babette's Cafe brilliantly brings Isak Dinesen's story of food, grace and community to vivid and delicious life in a rustic, European setting. For twenty-three years, Babette's Cafe has offered the flavor of stepping into a restaurant that is tucked into the French Countryside, making diners forget that they are just minutes away from downtown Atlanta.
