"The secret to beautiful food is using the ingredients in their most natural form." At Chef/Owner Marla Adams'Atlanta Restaurant, and with Chef Justin Kurtz now at the helm, life imitates art in a remodeled 1916 bungalow, nestled between the historic Inman Park and Poncey-Highland neighborhoods. You'll feel like a foreign film star as Babette's Cafe brilliantly brings Isak Dinesen's story of food, grace and community to vivid and delicious life in a rustic, European setting. For twenty-three years, Babette's Cafe has offered the flavor of stepping into a restaurant that is tucked into the French Countryside, making diners forget that they are just minutes away from downtown Atlanta.

Unique Dining Experience

This restaurant is a converted old house. I thought it had a musty smell. The dining room was nicely set up with white tablecloths and fine china. There really wasn't a vegetarian although they would have created a variety of veggies plate. I chose to go with the artisan mixed green salad which... read more

Let others seek out the hipster venues. Let them track the movements of the "celebrity mixologists." Let others pack the latest "market" or "bold new take" on dining which is usually comfort food in uncomfortable chairs. Babette's is a classic. The menu is sophisticated and the service delightful. Conversation is possible (imagine that!) On a recent visit, the tenderloin was... More

We hosted a group of 10 for a business dinner and only one had been before. It was great dinner! Food was amazing. Best creme brûlée have had in years. Wine selection was very reasonable. Would definitely go back next time am in Atlanta. Great ambience.

It was our anniversary so they covered our table with rose petals and an anniversary greeting. The food was absolutely wonderful and the service some of the best we've ever had.

This restaurant is delightful in every way. The food is excellent; the service is excellent and it is reasonably priced for the qualify of experience. I have eaten here several times in the past year and a half - most recently this evening to celebrate a friend's birthday. Comments at the table included "romantic", "quiet", "wonderful food", "thank you for... More

We have been going to Babette's for many years. Never have had a bad meal. Selection, service are the best. Valet parking is a plus. Menu changes often, but keeps many of classic items year round. Casual & quiet.

Another wonderful meal at Babette's to start the New Year . We have been going for many years and have never had a bad meal. The menu changes often, so there is always something new, but has many of the long time favorites as well . Service is always fast, valet parking is nice as well.

We went for a birthday dinner and had a lovely time and delicious meal. Here's why: 1. Wait Staff was courteous, knew their wine, and attended to all of our needs. 2. Appetizers were very good: escargot in puff pastry was excellent, and the two salads ordered (beet/butter lettuce, and the arugula+ salad) were great - a little light on... More

We were heading to Manuel's tavern across the street, but because of the Presidential debates, the place was full. It was late, so we walked across the street to this place. Kind of eclectic French. My party had the steak (ok), pasta with shrimp (ok) and soup and salad (small portions, not great). Wine was slightly overpriced. Not sure I... More
