Tasty food...good portions size. We took out but you can eat in..a very informal place. You won't be served food very quickly, we waited maybe 30 mins for takeout but an endless stream of delivery/uber-eats drivers suggests this place is a popular one.

I called in a to-go order. The chicken coconut didn't look like the picture on the website. No Bay leaves & just not that flavorful. My Peshwari Naan was dried up and seemed to be day old. This restaurant is located on a very congested...street and they don't have any designated parking. I lucked into an open spot right outside the restaurant but just as I drove away, the parking ticket guy was coming. This area has a hippy kind of vibe & there were homeless people there during my brief weekday visit.More

We had the fried onion dish for an appetizer. I liked the addition of what seemed to be sweet potato. But they arrived not piping hot. Two sauces served but no explanation. We wanted the samosas but puff pastry description threw us off. Another table...ordered them and they appeared to be the regular type samosa crust (less flaky southern turn over this crust). Service was slow throughout the meal. One table with two patrons when we arrived and a table arrived with two after our main was served. So no excuse in my mind. I saw two waiters and another rolling silver. I assumed there was also a chef. We split the chicken tiki Malasa. Too much Tomato and not enough coconut cream. He said 16 oz appx for serving -if either of us had wanted to chow down vs having a light lunch their 16 oz with not much meat and abundant gravy - made it miss the mark for me. Garlic nan -the garlic seemed a bit raw. I don’t think I would go back.More

We recently moved back to Atlanta after a 5 year "break" in Oregon, and hit up Niramish for our first time since 2012. Our experience this past weekend wasn't as good as our previous visits a few years back. Although the food is good, the...menu has changed quite a bit (quite a few things omitted) and the prices have gone up significantly (30% I'd guess). The main issue we had was the service. We were able to get a table easily on a Saturday night, as the restaurant was about half full. It took a long time for our waiter to take our order, bring the appetizers and entrees, take away the dirty plates and to bring the check. We spent more time waiting for all that than eating. Paying the bill was nearly a 20 minute ordeal... it seemed to take forever. The most annoying thing - and this is enough to keep us way - was that one of the employee's cellphones was routed through the restaurant's music system, so every minute or two you would hear text notifications across the restaurant. We found it rude, disrespectful and cheesey in general. There is another Indian restaurant on Moreland Ave and we'll probably try that next time we're in the area.More

I love Indian cuisine and was very disappointed with this restaurant. I was with a group or I would have left and gone elsewhere. The tables were dirty and in bad repair. The entire space is shabby and needs a good scrubbing. Service was extremely...slow. The rest of us were finished before the last person was served her food. My food was sad. They no longer offer thali plates so I ordered a couple of appetizers. Tandori chicken wings looked and tasted like they had been under a heat lamp for more than one day. Samosas were bland.More

We tried dinner here last night. It is in the middle of Little Five Points and like everything in L5P parking is a pain. We came early around 5:30 on a Sunday hoping to get lucky but we drove around a while until finally parking...at the surface lot near Front Page News and walking over. Of course the restaurant has no control over that just wanted to mention to plan ahead before you come. The restaurant is small on the inside. In a nice cozy way. It is no frills. Service was average throughout the evening. Nothing bad nothing Great. We started out with the appetizer of the Samosas. Very good. Pretty big too in my opinion we each had one and it was great. You get a couple sauces with them you can try. A red and a green sauce. I preferred the red sauce and my fiancée preferred the green sauce so it worked out well. We tried the coconut soup. Easily my least favorite part of the meal. I would not recommend. It was bland though the soup portion size was very big. I tried the Chicken Niramish Special. I got mine “really really hot”. It was an excellent dish. I was very pleased with it and though I was initially worried that the really really hot may have been a mistake I would say that it was spicy but the spice did not overwhelm the dish. We also tried the Chicken Tikka Masala. It was good. I’ve had versions at other places I prefer. It was heavier on the tomato flavor which I don’t care for, but if you like that it would probably be an excellent dish. All mains are served with rice and we also ordered a plain Naan. The bread was excellent. One order was four big fluffy pieces.More

What a great thing to discover a decent Indian restaurant that will deliver to a hotel - a treat for weary travelers! We had several nights of hotel dining and needed a break - went searching for good pizza delivery but happily found Niramish on...YELP. AMAZING! We had competent Chicken Butter and Paneer and samosas, all arrived at the Sheraton piping hot and only 30 minutes after placing the order! Amazing! The rice was boring but the sauces were very good. We'll definitely visit Niramish next time we're in Atlanta.More

Food is yummy, lots of options in indian food. You may not like the roti but main course dishes are really good. Not spicy so you have to tell explicitly in case you want it.

My wife and I have eaten at Niramish on several occasions in the past few years when we're in Atlanta, and we've introduced several friends to it as well. We have never been less than delighted with the food and service. The menu has great...variety, including various vegetarian options. The food always tastes very fresh and arrives at the right temperature. They are very accommodating to requests to add or subtract one or another ingredient and to make more or less spicy.More

We really love Indian food and have enjoyed it on multiple continents but I have to say, Niramish ranks among one of the best. The service was attentive but not overbearing and the food was exceptional. The Kormas and Biryanis were seasoned perfectly and the...naan was some of the best we have ever had. We even ordered a second portion; it was that good. The next trip to Atlanta, it will be top on our list. Highly recommended!More

The food I got today from Niramish can't justify the ratings it has got on the web .. Not sure if it was really great before but today, for me, it was definitely not a good food tasting experience... The kababs were bland .. The...curries were super tangy and hence didn't experience any other flavor in them, the meat that was in the curries didn't have the texture or the touch that meat lovers look for, some curries has less number of meat pieces in them .. My final verdict - not in a great location, poor decor, decent staff (saw just one), very pricey menu, not so great food ...More

Our second time at this restaurant while visiting our daughter. The place is relatively small but enjoyable. The place was not packed so we did not have to wait.. Attentive and courteous service. Our experience has been that the food is fresh, you select your...level of spiciness. The three of us shared the Shag Ponir, Tarka Dal and Salmon Shaag. Off course we had to order the Somosas and the garlic Naan bread .... Yummy !!! It appears that their take out business is really busy. I counted at least 10 customers coming in and picking up an order. Good sign ...More

My husband and I love Indian food. We both enjoyed Niramish for dinner tonight. The atmosphere: This is a small restaurant, but we arrived early so we had the place to ourselves when we first arrived. There is a mirror on one wall and some...colorful sparkly pictures on the other wall. You can people watch the Little 5 points scene out the window or catch what's on TV. The Indian music that was playing was not annoying as some Indian music can be. The food: I don't like hot spicy food, but I love food with flavor. We started with Vegetable Somosas which had a flaky crust and tasty fillings. Two dipping sauces that came with the appetizer were tasty. The garlic naan was delish! I had Chicken Tikki which was pretty good, and my husband had the Chicken Tikki Masala which was better. The Raita ( a yogurt sauce that compliments Tandoori dishes) was very good. Street parking could be challenging. If you come Monday through Wednesday you can turn up a side street just past the restaurant (Colquitt) for easy street parking. However, do not think of parking there on weekends, lest you have your car towed! This place seems very popular for take out. Prices seemed reasonable (Main dishes around $14, appetizers around $4.More
