Opening just in time for Oktoberfest 2010, Der Biergarten gives Atlanta residents and visitors a true taste of German culture. Located Downtown within the Luckie Marietta District, Der Biergarten fills a citywide void of beer gardens and authentic German fare while providing world-class service in a festive, traditional atmosphere. Co-owner Wolfgang Hartert, a local resident and native of Germany, provided much of the inspiration for Der Biergarten. As he says, “Atlanta needs a restaurant like Der Biergarten. The significant German population and business community in Atlanta is begging for an authentic dining experience. I know that Der Biergarten will provide Europeans, just like me, a place

Good food, beer served by the litre. Food all German based is great if you like such things. Downside German euro-pop played constantly 😕

I had the Sauerbraten. But, really, the red cabbage was the star of the dish. Started with potato pancakes. Add a pint (or half) of beer, and it's a lot of food. Service was quick and friendly. But it was Sunday night, so the restaurant...More

When here with a group of business associates. Good food but it is all traditional German style. Same with the beer. Back room was great for our group with several picnic tables. Beer is served in either half liter or full liter sizes. Fun place.

Two of us had dinner at this German restaurant in Atlanta. The service was great. They have an elevator to avoid the stairs and the two hostesses were very helpful with a friend that needed assistance. The food was delicious. We enjoyed it.
