We missed our turn for our brunch meet-up with friends and found this while lost. It was fate! The gods directed us in the right direction! Awesome pizza! Haha! We didn't even miss our friends but it was so awesome
We visited Antico several years ago and were impressed with the delicious flavors of the pie. So, while in Atlanta we decided to get there early for a pick up as stated on the website that begins at 11. No answer and doors locked. We...waited until 12 and went in to order. The girl behind the counter said they don’t open until 12 and haven’t changed their website. Obviously, they haven’t changed prices either,. The pizza had little flavor, but the Gio’s salad dressing had great flavor. However, the salad was lettuce with shaved Parmesan and was $9. Our total for a pizza with one topping and salad was $44 and the girl behind the counter had a terrible attitude. Will look for another pizza joint on the next visit.More
Some family and I visited yesterday for the first time on a recommendation to Antico Pizza Napoletana. We looked over the menu and decided on the lasagna pizza.
When it was brought out, it looked amazing, but the taste was almost appalling. The dough was...undercooked but somehow also burned, there seemed to be no seasoning in anything, the sauce or the meatballs. All we could taste was garlic and a flat, boring tomato flavor.
We were starving from being in IKEA all morning and we’re just so disappointed in the entire experience from attitude of the lady taking our order and seeming exasperated when we had to look at the menu, to the pizza being $28 and tasting awful.
I would not recommend to anyone. It’s overpriced but extremely under flavored.More
I enjoy eating at their twin chicken restaurant Anticos next door. The Chicken Diablo is superb. With a nice cheese pepper pizza from Napoletana, its a perfect meal. Every visit to Atlanta, my visit to Antico's is a must.I must have been there over 20...times, sitting on the same table, next to Maradona's framed No 10 shirt!!!!!!!More
I don't know where all the good reviews are coming from. This pizza was undercooked and had hardly any topping on it. Each slice was covered maybe halfway with sauce or cheese, if that. The rest of it was just dough. The salad was decent,...lettuce and cheese; the salad dressing was delicious. The person at the counter was a bit unfriendly. I wouldn't ever go back.More
On my last days in Atlanta I dug through my list of where to eat. On a rainy night my group decided take out pizza. Antico Pizza was recommended by friends.
I called to order and was told that it would take about 10 minutes,...so they would not allow pre ordering ahead which was odd. However they wanted to ensure quality control. So I do get it.
The restaurant sits on a corner and has very limited parking in their own lot and dime off street. I walked into a pizza joint with 20's hipsters. There is seating but limited. There was a short line waiting for take out. I walked to the counter and ordered a margarita and a Diavola. The staff assisting was kinda meh. Pricing was much more than anticipated at a $46 price tag. Checkout smooth.
The pies were cranked out close to promised at around 15 minutes. The boxes are good quality, non descriptive cardboard. The ride back took around 10 minutes and the pizzas were luke warm.
My favorite was the Margarita with flavorful fresh ingredients and crispy crust. No greasy residue. The Diavola was good, but more spicy than I cared for. Others in my party really liked. Also the pies warmed up great in the oven next day. So was it worth the price? I say if you can afford it yes, but if I lived in Atlanta it could not be a regular due to pricing.
I would come back and recommend.More
