Cloudland Farm is one of those gems hidden in the hills of Vermont near Woodstock. They pride themselves on providing beautifully presented meals with mostly produce from their farm. The service is efficient (maybe a bit too much so as a space between courses would be welcomed) and friendly. It's BYO only and they are happy for you to come... More

Not much to add more than what has already been said. I moved to the area a few years ago and have visited Cloudland Farm on a few occasions. Owners are very helpful on some of my farming needs and have also provided some amazing dinning experiences.

Cloudland farm is a family owned and operated farm with a separate restaurant operated by the family. It serves mostly meat and vegetables grown on the farm year round. The restaurant is a new building maintained immaculately, white linen on the tables and a very friendly and professional staff. The chef is professionally trained and creative. The hilltop location provides... More

Great food - it's a fixed menu each night, but very fresh and very good. A bit out of the way up in Pomfret, and a BYOB policy that includes a corking fee.

We just hosted a Welcome to Vermont dinner at Cloudland Farm Restaurant. We had planned this event for months. It was part of our son's wedding weekend. I can't say enough about this place. The drive to the restaurant is spectacular--truly a Vermont picture book setting. The food is outstanding--presentation beautiful. The owner makes sure that everything is perfect for... More

The location and ambience of Cloudland is wonderful. Country setting, lovely post and beam style building, nice views. Dessert was outstanding. Unfortunately, the bavette (??) beef steak that was served was extremely tough. I left over half of it. Sides were good. We told our server that neither my husband or myself thought the meat was very good, but since... More

Thanks for your honest feedback regarding your visit to Cloudland. We are very sorry that you were not satisfied with your entree. We are a farm that grows all of the meats that we serve (beef, pork, chicken and turkey) and we utilize all the various cuts that we have. You are correct, bavette steak certainly isn't as tender as... More

Fireplace burning in a country farm post and beam setting. Farm turkey dinner cooked with elegance. What's not to like?

We went to Woodstock for a fall foliage weekend escape, and after a day of hiking, leaf-peeping, and shopping, had dinner on Saturday evening at Cloudland Farm . This is a once-in-a-lifetime place deep into the Vermont forest, you'll need really good directions to find this wonderland. An unexpected snow squall surprised us as we drove the one-lane dirt road,... More

We have now been here a few times, and it is always one of the highlights of our stay in the area. Fresh local food, well prepared, never disappoints. The service is great as is the setting-- we always enjoy having a glass of wine on the porch and admiring the views before dinner, so try to give yourself time... More
