The Red Rooster is the formal dining option within the Woodstock Inn and Resort. If you would like a round comfortable booth (party of 4-5) you can ask when you make your reservation. The wine options are adequate and priced fairly; they offered multiple Malbec options, for example--so we had a tasting of two different regions, France and Argentina. Our... More

Stopped on our travels for lunch at the café. The service is excellent and attentive. Not overbearing. The food was very good. Roast beef open face sandwich with onions and mushrooms on faccacia and celery apple soup. Black bean burger with lettuce tomato and onion. The bread was a bit stale but overall what one would expect at the Inn.

We stopped at the Woodstock Inn on Sunday for a nice leisurely lunch. It was just lovely. The menu at the Red Rooster offers a variety of lunch favorites. I ordered the salmon flatbread and it was perfect with a hot cup of tea. My honey had a cheeseburger which he thoroughly enjoyed. It's a beautiful setting overlooking the back... More

Thank you so much for “stopping in” for lunch on Sunday while passing through Woodstock! I am delighted that you enjoyed your lunch; our own butcher smokes the salmon in-house and believe it or not, that flatbread is actually considered an appetizer! I’m happy to learn you found the flatbread and our wonderful artisanal tea the perfect Sunday lunch! I... More

We have enjoyed this Inn for more than thirty years and this visit has not been on par with previous visits. The breakfast buffet was somewhat in disarray and many of the food offerings looked as if they had been sitting for a very long time. The new staff is not very friendly and it seemed as if we were... The Inn's renovation of the Red Rooster is just beautiful. It's classy, warm and very comfortable. We had dinner here this year our first night at The Inn and really enjoyed it. The beet salad is absolutely delicious and the halibut was awesome. Strawberry Napoleon was not traditional but was very creative, light and delicious. My b-in-law said the mussels... More

While the inn is lovely, and the restaurant gives the appearance of quality, I found our meal, while the most expensive of our trip, quite lacking in quality. Service was slow, and my wife's filet, ordered to be medium, medium well was in fact well done. My lamb, ordered medium rare, seemed as if it had been warmed up. We... More

A must stop if visiting Woodstock is the highly rated Woodstock Inn. Very pleasing menu. The duck breast is well prepared and tasty. Lovely dining room, great wine list, top martini! Service was good. Very quiet the night we dined there.

Hungry for lunch but wanting something other than sandwiches or fries , we dropped in here. Thank goodness we did! Super clam chowder and Cajun chicken salad which really hit the spot. The place was humming but service was attentive and quick. Go enjoy.

Thanks so much for dropping in for lunch! I’m glad you enjoyed your experience; if you enjoyed our clam chowder (who doesn’t?!?), next time you’ll have to sample our seafood stew, a favorite with our guests for almost ten years now and one of the very few items on any of our menus that dot’ change with the seasons!
