A creative menu, superb service, outstanding food, totally unpretentious -- we enjoyed everything about Mangalitsa. The chef and his small team take pride in their ingredients and plating, and each dish just popped with flavor. The wine list was small but well chosen, and the price points were fair. Reservations are a must because the place is small and has only a few people waiting on tables and making drinks. When time permits, the chef (Nick) delivers plates to the table, which is a nice touch. Highly recommended!

I own a little inn down the road from Mangalitsa and am always sending guests over there for dinner. I finally tried it out myself during my birthday (week) and loved everything about it. From the wine list to the personalized service to the meal and dessert, FLAW-LESS!
The only difference in my recommendation to my guests now is, "if they're serving pork belly...get two!" Thank you for a beautiful meal!

We had tried to get reservations for a while. We finally got a date and time that fit our schedule. This place is very small and itimate. Only about 25 seats. The chef is amazing and just 24 years old. The food was excellent with sauces had very complex flavors a real foodie experience. The service was a bit slow but our waitress was very professional and you could tell she loved food and this chefs creativity. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are a true foodie.

What a remarkable evening! Eating dinner last night at Mangalitsa, in Woodstock, Vermont was an amazing experience. We were 6 friends from suburbs of NYC who all enjoyed different small plates and entrees. One dish was more outstanding than the next. We had the grilled romaine, fluke crudo, scallops, pork chop, swordfish and finished with their wonderful Almond Joy ice cream.
Our server was warm, helpful and professional, and answered our questions thoroughly. A huge applause for Matt Lombard and Nick, (awesome chef) for creating delicious dishes, with fresh herbs and spices to bring out the most amazing flavors ever. Thank you to Lynne and Meghan for serving us, as well.
We will definitely return to this terrific restaurant.

My wife and I had dinner at Mangalitsa in July and had the most wonderful experience. The food was of the highest quality, from the presentation on the plate to the perfect taste of every morsel. Our server, Lynn, was knowledgeable and very friendly. The chef, Nick, even came out with our main course. A real gem, and we will return on our next visit to Woodstock.

One of the best meals ever. We were greeted by Lynn who was gracious and attentive. Extensive wine list; my wife wasn't sure which white she wanted so Lynn brought to our table a few choices for her to sample. Much appreciated. During dinner Matt, the owner and Nick, the chef came to our table for a visit. Also much appreciated. However, the best part was the food. My wife had scallops, and I had the halibut. Both nicely presented and cooked to perfection. Oh yes, we had the green fried tomato appetizer; very inventive and tasty. Overall, a fantastic evening. Will definitely go back.

We ate early as a party of 5 with one small child. Definitely a grown up space, but the staff were fantastic with our little eater, and worked great with some dietary needs. Food was impeccable and wine/cocktail options were great. Beautiful intimate atmosphere. Will be back!

One of the best meals we have had in a long time! Everything was fresh and delicious. Amazing cocktails. We were lucky and were able to get the one and only table without a reservation for the evening. We will definitely make a reservation in the future to guarantee that we can visit again!

Excellent - esp black garlic beef dish, apple cider cocktail, and hush puppies. Make a reservation because we heard them turn lots of people away. You will not be sorry!

Truly farm to table at it’s finest. The owner owns the farm where the food is grown. Service was impeccable. Cocktails with fresh squeezed juice

We had a fantastic meal on Friday night. I saw some reviews of Mangalitsa on Yelp when planning a visit to the Woodstock Inn. My wife and I were here for the weekend celebrating our anniversary. I emailed the restaurant a few weeks before our visit, I like to book nice dinners in advance when we travel and the reviews all recommended making reservations. The space isn't large with just a few tables, but the experience I will remember for years to come. We started with a roasted carrot appetizer that was a unique blend of flavors that I wouldn't have expected would work together... but holy crap best carrots I've ever had. Next was the main dishes and they did not disappoint. I had the pork chop and my wife had the scallops, at the end of the meal we both said it was in the top 3 meals we had ever enjoyed. I would recommend this place to everyone!

The best restaurant in Woodstock by lightyears. The chef produces dishes from starters through deserts that blend an array of tastes and are cooked to perfection. Everything is house prepared - including the delicious seasonal ice-creams.
Service is also world-class - from help with the menu to wine choices to delivery - again world-class. The wine list is small but well chosen to match the foods. The menu, with prices, is posted on the web. Prices are reasonable for the quality produced by the kitchen and the service received. Reservations are essential, there are under 30 seats and only 4 bar seats. This was our post vaccination Covid escape meal and it will be remembers for our lifetime.

Mangalitsa is absolutely extraordinary. I dined there under somewhat strange circumstances – the restaurant is still closed for in-person dining, and I was celebrating the would-have-been day of my wedding (postponed because of COVID). Mangalitsa comes highly reviewed, so I wanted to try it for our special dinner.
Nick, the chef, prepared an absolutely extraordinary menu. Instead of ordering from the takeout menu, he suggested that he visit the farm in the morning and put together something he thought we would like. That alone was a terrific honor. But not only did we enjoy a thoughtfully created, unique meal... it was amazing tasty.
The food was creative, seasonal, classy, and delicious. The incredible meal that Nick prepared was particularly remarkable given the constraints of boxing a meal for take-out (which we got to enjoy in the beautiful barn at the Farmhouse Inn). He created dishes with surprising seasonal ingredients and inspiring flavor combinations (read: flowers, stone fruits, mushrooms and more). It is rare to experience the work of a chef who approaches their work as an artist with such passion.
I cannot recommend Mangalitsa highly enough – it is a unique restaurant with a brilliant chef. A trip to Woodstock wouldn’t be complete without a meal here.
