Very good curry - you can ask for extra spice if you like spicy. Service was super friendly and accommodating. Big portions!

Not authentic Indian food lacked in spices and taste ordered 3 different curry dishes but all of them looked and tasted the same. The only thing that was nice was the rice. Not one to try again
We ate all of the food. We will be back tomorrow. You should come here too. Come quick before we eat all the food they have left!
Delivery/Takeaway. Love spicy Indian food but this was neither! Lacked taste and spices. Poor effort and arrived with one dish missing☹️
The food was so good, i really recommend it. The only thing is that one of the workers was a little bit rude. I felt left out in some type of way. It was really awkward. On the other hand, the other worker was relly...nice. I have miced feelings about this place tbh.More
Great food, the garlic naan was amazing. Very good service. Due to current restrictions all dining was taking place on the outside, which was very well prepared and decorated.
This was my 2nd visit to Maharani, the service and the selection was great on the 1st visit my curry was very tasty though a little mild for my taste. However, when I spoke to the waiter he said next time you come in please...let us know and we can make it spicier to your taste, so that's what I did, and is was absolutely delicious and spicy enough for me. Great service from the very friendly staff. We will be back!!More
The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. We had a really good dinner and for a more than resonable prize. We highly recomend the garlic naan and the vegetable dishes. If you are looking for a rest from all the seafood and...like spicy meals, this is definitely your place!More
I LOVED eating here! The service was great and the food was AMAZING! I had the garlic Naan, mango chicken, and veggie samosas. The cost was very reasonable for the amount of food. Everyone was so nice and made the experience 5-star. They have several...options for vegetarians and meat-eaters. Will return!More
I wouldn’t have thought to eat Indian while visiting this city but damn their mango prawn is good! And their garlic naan is huge 😃🙌🙌
Thank You so much for reviewing, we would like to serve you again with our best quality service.
During my 10 day stay in Peniche, I went to Maharani Peniche for 5 times and I was never disappointed! They honestly made the best Indian food I’ve ever had and I already miss their Naan bread, Dahl soup, and those delicious mint, mango, and...sweet chili sauces! Highly recommend this restaurant because, the food tastes great, the entire staff are friendly, and the prices are quite affordable!More
Nice Indian place. Decent carries! Nice and welcoming service. I loved the areas outside with a view to port.
Pros: really tasty food, nice environment, friendly service. We made a reservation and they were very kind to book us a table by the window (considering Peniche cold weather, an outside table could not be the best choice) Improvements: we, as well as other customers,...had to wait more than expected for the menus and foodMore
The food is good, the location is good and the boss was friendly, the other waiter not so much BUT it is not possible to be so under staffed... Waiting 30 minutes for the menus. Impossible to get another beer. Lucky if you get any...attention at all. Dirty tables from clients that left 50 minutes ago. Hire at least one more person and make a lot more money, let alone the byproduct of happy clientsMore
Come and try it! I am very critical of Indian restaurants because I am from a city that specializes (Manchester). First let me say this review rating is based wholly on the food and not on the service. The service was at first slow despite...the restaurant being empty, and I had to send the welcome pappadum back as it was old and soft, and the first beer was warm (albeit in a cold glass) but to be fair it was early in the evening. I have had better Mango Chutney but the other dips were tasty. The waiter was very friendly and I can see that he had a bad day before meeting me, but he kept smiling and was helpful, so my review is no reflection on him. If anything he was over apologetic instead of getting it right, he brought the curry on a sizzle plate and a separate plate to eat but no serving spoon which was a thing to mention. When I asked it was correctly presented. He just seemed stressed on this particular day, I’m sure normally it’s 100% The actual food was in my case (and i dined solo) seekh kebab which was presented nicely and they gave me some hot sauce to try (which I could add myself to my liking) because i said I liked it spicy. The main to the waiters recommendation was Chicken Jalfrezi extra hot with a garlic naan. The reason it is a 3 and not a 4 is because it was oily. It tasted fantastic don’t get me wrong, but there was a lot of veg and not much chicken, although what there was tasted great, due the sauce and spices such as ginger and hot curry all of which I enjoyed greatly when combined. The naan bread was great. The presentation was great. The price for all this and 3 Super Bock was 22€ - I wouldn’t eat there again but it wasn’t bad. I tipped 3€ and thought it was decent enough, but as I say, curries are my forte. Thanks for the visit and good luck with everything, i hope my review is honest and fair.More
