There were 7 of us and we ordered a rather wide variety of things. Everything was good even though my grilled chicken sandwich could have been definitely a little bigger for the price.More

My husband and I visited Manassas on a trip to visit with our grandson. We stayed at a wonderful Airbnb and I cooked most of our meals at the property. When my brother joined us during our trip, I happened upon this wonderful restaurant in...the downtown historic district of Manassas. I ordered the mussels with garlic bread and melted butter, which was mount watering, along with a grilled chicken salad with mixed greens, accompanied by a tall glass of ice tea with lemon and a glass of white wine. My family had the juicy burgers and air fried french fries that were like none we have ever tasted. Naturally I had to steal some from my husband's plate! We sat at the outdoor cafe tables with umbrellas that protected us from the sun, but the day was breezy with blue skies overhead. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy for small group lunches. What a wonderful experience and the staff is welcoming and the service is great with no waiting. We will definitely return to this restaurant when traveling through Virginia again to visit family!More

Two of us ate lunch on a weekday. No waiting. We ate outdoors. Both meals were delicious. The wait staff was very friendly. Great beer selection. We did not have any this time but have had a few previously. You will need to walk a...short distance to get there unless you are super lucky and get a street parking spot.More

We stopped in for drinks on a busy Sunday evening and were able to be seated without wait in their beautiful outdoor seating area. Nice vibe there, with the other restaurants around and servers tending to customers. The rest of the tables were packed, which...allowed us to look at all the amazing dishes coming out to them, which all looked amazing! They have a nice cocktail menu and their drinks are made perfectly, with fresh ingredients! Servers were friendly and helpful too! Definitely returning to grab a meal here!!More

Got the Poutine, was very good - so much couldn't eat it all. Been wanting Poutine since October 2019. Had it in Toronto and found some right here in Manassas. Was soooooo good! Only way it could be better is to eat it there and...maybe a little less saltMore

The restaurant is in old town Manassas and parking during the day is tough. We were very lucky to find street parking only a block away. Your best strategy might be to park in the large municipal garage and then walk a few blocks. The...Public House Kitchen and Brewery had, as you might expect, a huge beer menu. It is very daunting. However, they will cheerfully supply a small taste of any draft beer on the menu for you to taste. Which is what we did. We shared the candied bacon appetizer. This is not for everyone. First, the bacon was very thick, at least a quarter of an inch, and it was not crisp. It may be too fatty for some. It was also very spicy - more so than the cajun entree I had later - and some people may not care for that either. The maple syrup with the bacon made for an interesting contrast, but it also made for messy eating. I had the Cajun Pasta as my entree. It was surprisingly mild. I would have preferred mild bacon and spicy pasta. Otherwise, the portion size was good and the waitress made sure I had plenty of sauce. It came with four large shrimp and ample chicken. My wife had the Drunken Flat Iron Steak. The steak was tender and cooked to order, but it did not have much marinade flavor. If you are expecting a steak like the drunken steak at Mike's American Grill, you're going to be disappointed. The brownie with vanilla ice cream for dessert was large enough for two and extremely chocolaty. Service was a bit slow, particularly since there was only one other party in the restaurant, but our waitress paid attention to our order and got everything right the first time. I would have provided a photo or two, but I was so hungry that by the time I remembered it was too late.More

The food was good, the service not bad. Wine and beer choices are good. I had candied bacon, it was excellent. Salmon was dry. Over all, it all adds up, the appetizer list is interesting so you need to try it. Many choices.

Over The Labor Day Weekend (2019), we visited with family residing in Manassas. On Sunday we opted to dine out for dinner and selected The Public House Kitchen & Brewery. We were pleased with our choice. The menu offering has something for everyone and our...eclectic selections were enjoyed by the four of us. The timing of serving our drink, appetizer and entree orders was spot on - there was neither overlapping nor long wait times between courses. Drinks, two shared appetizers and four entrees plus tip (20%) less than $115.00 -- Very good value!More
