We couldn’t have had a warmer welcome from the brothers, even though one supported Man United! The food, service and attention to detail was fantastic! The staff were fantastic and the food was brilliant, really a hidden gem!

The words that might describe this restaurant is 'Wow what a pleasure'. This is not our first time but I write reviews after 2 or 3 times. And they all have to be very good or excellent. After more than 40 years dining in restaurants around the world I can say that I am a good food critic. In my opinion the place, staff, chefs and management have managed to excel and I might say surpass customers expectations. They definitely did this to us. The meet and greet was spot on. The food was exquisitely presented and of course cooked to perfection. We had the prawn carpaccio as a starter and for mains we had a fish and shellfish platter made up there and then, ie we chose what we wanted in the platter. This included succulent oysters which I hadn't tasted any like them for about 20 years. This was all downed with a bottle of Sancerre. For desert we had the homemade delicious mille foglie. Ambience in the restaurant is suitable for everyone. I suggest you book a table as this place is so much sought after that within a few minutes it was packed. Another 5 stars point noted was that even packed the service remained excellent and still the personal service was present to each and every table. The prices for all the delicacies and wines are very reasonable and worth every euro.
So final result in all areas is 5 or 6 stars.
Well done to all at Venus for making our visit so special and please stay with the formula that you have created. Thank you again Paul & Rita

We had an exceptional experience at the Venus Restaurant, which was made special by the brilliant service and top quality food! We received complimentary bread starter, with oil, olives and hummus and I had a Beef fillet for a main course, which was cooked to perfection and melt in my mouth. My partner had Duck, which he thought was really tasty and both meals were presented beautifully, served with vegetables and potatoes.
I would recommend this to anybody looking for quality service and food. The meal, 1 glass of wine and 2 beers came to ÂŁ75 which was reasonably priced for the overall experience we received.
I would highlight that the location of the restaurant is on a busy corner, which is noisy, which may spoil the ambiance for some guests but I personally didn’t feel this interfered with my experience at this restaurant.

A beautiful family run restaurant with a tangible love for fine dining. Super fresh fish served with amazing presentation by waiters who know very well the food they are serving, ready to explain the finest details. Keep it up!

From the moment we arrived, without a reservation, we were impressed with every little thing. The customer service/attention; the cleanliness of the restaurant/toilets, the attention to detail; the choice of the freshest ingredients; the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff is hard to beat. Tables have freshly starched white tablecloths which are changed after each guest leaves. Staff constantly sanitzed their hands. The prices are higher than average, but it is worth every penny. Complimentary home made bread, hummus and olives at start of meal and complimentary limoncello drink with the bill. We had Irish fillet of beef carpaccio and Mozzarella bruchetta to start. Himself had duck breast served medium-rare with potato and roasted veg and I had lobster and prawn ravioli.
Banoffee to finish. Every bite was a pure delight, they have one great chef. Presentation was fabulous. Meal with 2 G&T's and bottle of wine came to €100.
Family run restaurant with dad in attendance overseeing operations but full credit goes to his son Andrea who leaves no stone unturned to ensure every single guest has the best experience possible. Congratulations to the team, they are a credit to their profession and their country. Thank you guys and wishing you continued success, we will certainly be back.

We have visited this restaurant in March 22. The atmosphere was amazing, with the staff from the owner to the waiting complimenting this with their happy to help approach, making you feel welcome. We initially felt the price was excessive but having tasted the food I have to say it was worth every euro. The staff were very knowledgeable of their products and gave excellent advice of a wine to suit the meal we had ordered. This is definitely one to visit when in these parts, we will most definitely be coming back.

If I could score this higher than a 5 star, I would. The menu didn’t jump out to me being as I am a vegetarian however, the waiter assured me they could cater to my taste buds and said some foods they could give me.
I was more than happy to be surprised.
Firstly, we were given some warm bread with hummus and sundried tomatoes.. this alone was beautiful and a nice surprise.
When my food came out, I was extremely happy with the presentation. Eating the food... WOWWWW! So so so gorgeous with amazing service. Very friendly staff, especially Roberto who has served us tonight and huge compliments to the chef.
So happy, we have booked before leaving to come back the very same week ❤️

Although we were quite a large table, the service was exceptional. We all had different items from the menu and were really served well. Above all the fillet steak was impressive so were the fish which were filleted to our desire. The staff were polite and the hostess treated us exceptionally well. Looking foward to our next visit. Keep it up.

My boyfriend and I came here one evening for dinner and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is so calming compared to the hustle and bustle outside, I ordered the seabass special and my partner the chicken, it was the most delicious seabass I had tasted!my partner loved his meal too and the wine was perfect. The customer service was comparable to non, we received freshly baked bread with homemade hummus and olives on the house, and finished the meal with lemoncello on the house! We had to visit one last time and when we did we weren't disappointed. We received the same amazing service and food, and we even received a local cactus liquor on the house. This is a must visit; Will definitely be going again if we're ever in Malta.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Very good balance of professionalism, friendly but discreet.
The food was very good value for money. Steak was cooked to perfection and my husband enjoyed the rabbit stew.
Great atmosphere with nice jazz music playing in the background. We also enjoyed the complimentary after dinner drinks!

The restaurant itself has a very romantic ambiance, very well kept and top professional service.
The starters are amazing, the hummus dip is really tasty, not the usual kind and the bread was really fresh and piping hot. Although we were a large group all the food arrived at the same time, cooked to everyones desire.
I took the soup of the day which was the carrot and orange soup which tasted amazing, really nice combination with come crunchy croutons. As the starter I had the paccheri beef cheeks, really tender and melts in your mouth 🤤
For the main course I took the beef rib eye. Arrived just like I ordered it, medium rare. Cooked to perfection. I wasn’t the only one who ordered beef, all were cooked to our likings and served at the same time.
Would really recommend! Will be coming again for sure ❤️

A family favourite. It was a pleasure to return to see Venus still thriving post lockdown.
Everyone is greeted with a warm welcome. There are multiple seating options from outside, the terrace and inside the restaurant. I would recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment!
It is clear that the restaurant take health and safety seriously with regards to COVID-19.
Every dish is delicious and the staff are gracious catering for fussy eaters and young children alike. You can guarantee fresh food that is worth every penny.
The fresh warm bread with homemade humous is always a hit, also paired great with salt and oil! This trip our family enjoyed the soup of the day (parsnip), mussels in garlic and white wine sauce, the octopus starter which they catered to my request of 2 sauces as I was unsure on the recommended nero di seppia (which was to my surprise delightful) as starters. Our main dishes ranged from surf and turf, lobster linguine, salmon wellington to crusted lamb. We would recommend all of these dishes. Sadly, we had no room left for dessert but we look forward to returning again soon.

As most tourists we relied on Google map and trip advisor reviews to source a good restaurant to eat at. Our first night was a failure. The second night we went with reviews and ended up at Venus.
A little family run restaurant, father and two sons. Hats off! It was spectacular and unexpected.
The food was so incredibly fresh, the staff so attentive. It's not easy with a 2 year old to go out and enjoy a meal, however the staff kept her occupied and the food, I've never seen her tuck into ravioli as much !
It's really a great spot to try fresh fish and enjoy a lovely dinner with family or friends. We made sure to return twice on the holiday because when you find a good place, it's always a safe bet !
Absolutely fantastic and a pleasure to eat here a few times during our holidays thank you for looking after my family and me.
A special shout out to one of the sons Andrea who waited on us on two occasions. Thank you so much for your attention and entertaining our daughter.

Venus is a family run authentic local restaurant amongst chains and bars in Bugibba. Don’t be fooled by the white table cloths and seafood display as expensive. You’ll be paying the same or less like for like in other not so well presented restaurants. The starters of grilled octopus and rabbit ravioli was amazing along with the local warm cooked bread. They have a good selection of specials. We stuck to seafood but they also offer red meat & chicken. Brothers Roberto & Andrea along with Maria made us feel very welcome and we appreciated the Frangelico with ice cream and sparkler for our birthday celebration. Thanks for a lovely evening.
