Lovely food, friendly staff and resonably priced. Good choice of wine and beers. Located just inside castle walls.

Unfortunately my partner had an under cooked... More

We come to a trade show each year in Verona and have stayed at this hotel and restaurant for the last 5 years. Always a warm welcome, rooms are very traditional which we love and extremely clean. The restaurant is fab and service superb. A little gem - not far from Verona so perfect for us each year. We will... More

The restaurant is really easy to find: to the left after the main town entrance. Its decoration is between classy and chintzy and goes very well with the place and its atmosphere. My wife and I are vegetarians which in Northern Italian restaurants sometimes leads to lengthy discussions. Not here. The salad bowl was standard Italian and everything was fresh.... More

Same kitchen as La scala, but placed in upscaled room of the same old estlabishment, The pasta and antipasta made from excellent raw materials in the best traditional italian (veronese) way.

Amazing food and wine, with wonderful prices. Charming place, good service ( for italian pattern), delicious desserts. Small village atmosphere.

Food generally was nice, but nothing special as we expected. The biggest problem was service! Slow, ignorant, difficult to catch their attention… About food: Our wives were pregnant and we asked to bring one stake without blood and their brings us TWICE meat full of blood! )) both times waiter was surprised although he himself twice brought it back to... An excellent venue for an evening of peaceful surroundings and great service and excellent cuisine. The staff are very helpful if you have a limited understanding of Italian and service impeccable. The restaurant is under the same ownership as the Osteria La Scala next door but Al Gambero is the quieter and less busy option. The quality of food is... More
