We decided to stop here for lunch, glad we did. The steak we ordered was the best I've ever had, forget the Bistecca Fiorentina, heaven. The pasta was just as good. If you want the best Italian meal, make this a stop on your trip, you will not regret it.

During our weeklong stay near Montefalco, we needed to find a place to eat on Tuesday, as our favorite restaurant is closed that day. Coccorone was a great substitute. The atmosphere is lovely and romantic. It's a little off the beaten path, but Montefalco is small, so everything may be easily found. We enjoyed a bottle of Sagrantino di Montefalco... More

After walking the streets of Montefalco (an impressively simple and ancient town), we sought rest and lunch here. The venue is small, the staff and food local, the level of service extremely high in both friendliness and polish. Among the stand-out dishes were a homemade pasta with mushrooms and local red wine, very pure and hearty, no garlic or herbs--just... More

The food here was simple and amazing- starter of anchovies and butter on toast, and melted cheese with honey and walnuts. The roast pigeon with black salt scattered on the plate was divine- also rabbit hunter style, and grilled steak. Nice reasonable wine list and lovely terrace-

If you ever go, don't miss the pappardelle al Sagrantino. Honestly, the best pasta dish I have ever had! Average the Chianina steak. I am not a chianina lover and probably this is why I was not very impressed by it. Average the service from the waitresses, but great the hospitality we received from Walter, either the owner or the... More

Fabulous food, of course we had the Florentina steak which is an absolute must! Would highly recommend if you're in Montefalco!

We recently spent 5 nights in Umbria, with one of those in Montefalco. We came here for dinner and whilst it wasn't bad, it also wasn't especially good. The Norcian ham and Burrata for shared starter was good - though that is generally going to be the case anywhere. The fillet steak main course was not the best - it... More

Our hotel made this reservation. We are staying in San Luca. Thought it was a short walk away but it is 15 minute drive. This is a very special village and restaurant. Memorable in quality and still local. Just trust the recommendation of food and wine. Unless you have local knowledge. We loved it.

Ristorante Coccorone in Montefalco is as wonderful as Montefalco itself - warm, ambient and friendly. And above all, it has great food. We went there because when we checked restaurants in this area it turned out it had great reviews and looked really promising. We didn't exactly know what they serve and what is best so when we were given... More

There is little to add once one tastes the flavorful pasta and eyes the steak (and I am a vegetarian so I just eyed). The burrata cheese to start with was creamy and fabulous, alongside the porcini mushroom pasta. Don't forget the tiramisu!!! Enjoy
