Delicious coffee and fresh beans. Knowledgeable staff. This is a no-frills coffee production mecca. If you want non-Starbucks, local coffee, this is the place to go.

I've been getting coffee beans from Rostov's for 15 years! The service is great and the products excellent. My favorite bean is Coppehengan and Mama Zu's blend! The organic Peru is tasty too! If you are a tea lover, you won't feel left out. You can buy all things coffee and tea! Oh, get a cup of fresh brewed coffee... More

I discovered Rostov's Coffee at Stir Crazy, a neighborhood café and coffee hangout on MacArthur on the Northridge. We are new to Richmond, and came upon Rostov's Coffee and Tea shop while exploring the Fan District. We entered to the heavenly aroma of roasting beans, the sight of the 1930's coffee roaster, and warm welcomes from staff. My husband sampled... More

Rostov's has been a fixture in Richmond long before the chain store coffee shops, and in my opinion their coffee and tea is still way better then what is served in those chain stores and not as overpriced. I find Starbucks coffee way too acidic for my tastes. If you want your coffee freshly grounded, you have a variety of... More

I had the delicious and funkily named Amish Walrus (chocolate and hazelnut). It was a little sweeter than I had hoped for (I like my mochas fairly bitter), but the taste was still smooth. Rostov's is located in the Fan, and is definitely a great alternative to certain large-franchise cafes.

I moved to Tennessee a year ago, and I am happy to be here. One of the only things I really, really miss is Rostov's. They've been a Richmond institution for decades, and it's easy to see why. Their products are always top-drawer; they roast their coffee right there in the shop, and the service is always terrific. They must... More

The largest and most wonderful selection of teas I have ever seen in one place. To say nothing of the coffee, which is wonderful. If you've never had a cup of coffee that has been made right after the beans have been roast & ground, you need to treat yourself! They also have an extensive selection of coffee & tea... More

I do not drink coffee, but Rostov's handled my needs for a bunch of coffee beans to make my wedding favors. They helped me choose something that most people were likely to enjoy, and took their time making sure they were selling me exactly what I asked for. Very helpful.
