We had 18 people in our group when we invaded this tiny ice cream shop. Only 1 young lady was working the counter, but she handled it well. She moved along at an admirable pace. The ice cream was amazing, the selection was pretty good for a tiny place with home made items and everyone left very happy. We'll keep... More

The ice cream is wonderful - like no other. It's smooth and tasty with generous sizes. You can get a cone and then walk around the shops and window shop (until your ice cream is done). Be sure you don't miss the daily ice cream specials (there was honey, fig and coffee heath the day I visited!). My only issue... More

Nice location on Cary St, across from the Byrd. They had a nice selection of ice cream, with the typical choices in cones. The best surprise was that it was reasonably priced. We walked out of there with a couple 1 scoop cones for about $6. Friendly staff, and they let you do all the flavor sampling you want.

The ice cream and the milk shakes here are amazing and the Bev's brownie is a MUST have... It is out of the world. Although we visited on a Friday evening, we didn't have to wait for long and got nice seats next to the window overlooking the street. Overall a great experience and will definitely go back again.

We headed downtown to explore and see the sights in Richmond. Right across the street from the historic Bryd Theatre is an ice cream shop that features home-made ice cream. The shop is simple...the ice cream is awesome. I am glad the line was long because it was hard to decide. The place has a simple cool vibe...employees are quick... More

The ice cream here is out of this world, but the experience sucked. We waited in line forever... there were only two people working on a Friday night and they were moving in slow motion. The servings are also extremely small.

A friend and I happened to spot Bev's while strolling down Cary Street on a warm evening last week and had to stop in. The place is small but the line for service was backed up to the front of the store. There was only one lady working the counter, so we hoped our 20 - 25 minute wait would... More

Slow churned ice cream mixed with real fruits or flavorings with their recipe of a lifetime. Portions are fairly large but a little pricey. I always pay a visit when I'm in Carytown, plus it's a treat you'll never get tired of.

It's almost impossible for me to be in the fan and not stop here. Just nice to have real ice cream and seasonal flavors, I'm a big fan.

Visited Bev's after visiting the VMFA which is just a few blocks away from Carytown. The place was cute but the ice cream was better. I had a few of the daily flavors and they were just so yummy. Best homemade ice cream I've had in a while!
