Wow! What's not to like about this great spot on corner. The lobster bisque was insanely good. The cream of mushroom... insanely good. The duck... insanely good. Seriously, we tried six dishes and apps and NOTHING disappointed us. Even better was the service. Although it was a bit slow at times (it's a really small kitchen), the food was outstanding... More

Bacchus has certain menu items that are the best in Richmond -- sautéed snails, grilled portobello with red peppers and mozzarella, chicken piccata and, of course, the spaghetti with Kobe meat meatballs (and just for $13!). And there is so much more

Spent the evening with a friend for dinner and drinks. We shared the sauteed calamari dish which was delicious. Each of us had the salads as well. She had the goat cheese and I had the arugula. Happy hour is from 5 to 6:30. All this time we only had salads, previous visits have never disappointed. The escargot was particularly... More

You could split any dish. They are huge and delicious. Small restaurant reservations suggested. Nice bar good wine list reasonable prices would go back but split entree

We discovered that the restaurant where we had a reservation just wasn't going to work out so we took a chance on getting in at Bacchus at the last minute. I should have made plans to eat at Bacchus in the first place: we had two guests from out-of-town and I knew I could count on Bacchus to make for... More

My husband and I visited with our son and his fiance'. We had reservations because it was the end of Restaurant Week. We all had 3 course meals. I had the shrimp scampi with brandy and tomatoes as an appetizer, which was quite good. Someone else had the sauteed snails and said they were quite good. For the main course,... More

Our group of six active seniors visited this restaurant during Richmond Restaurant Week and were quite pleased. After checking over the menus for the rest of the restaurants featured during this special promotion, we chose Bacchus due to the extensive selection of menu items offered. Although the portions were slightly smaller according to the server from their normal dinner menu... More

When I am in the Fan in Richmond, this is one of my top five places to eat. I like the intimate atmosphere and the neighborhood feel. The food is good and reasonably priced. I often share the entree with my dinner companion, allowing us to order some sides as well. Street parking only.

All of my friends love this place. Everything we had was delicious and the service is crazy good. This place knows what they are doing. Not a good place for large parties but is a great date spot for sure! Prices are reasonable.

On Tuesday night you wouldn't expect a crowd at a restaurant, but that's what we found. This neighborhood place is perfect for whatever you're in the mood for. We couldn't decide on what to get so we ordered a bunch of "smaller" plates. Needless to say, we still took home a LOT of leftovers. Liver pate was creamy and flavorful,... More
