On Tuesday night you wouldn't expect a crowd at a restaurant, but that's what we found. This neighborhood place is perfect for whatever you're in the mood for. We couldn't decide on what to get so we ordered a bunch of "smaller" plates. Needless to say, we still took home a LOT of leftovers. Liver pate was creamy and flavorful,... More

I went to Richmond on a business trip and was taken to this restaurant by a local. This small and eclectic establishment is simply outstanding! I knew I was in the right place when I got a whiff of the garlic and other aromas as I walked through the front door! I had the Chicken Marsala and we shared some... More

We finished dinner and weren't ready to go back to the room so wheeled in and took a chance on this place for a nightcap. Well, we liked it enough to return the next night, too. We sat at the bar and although there wasn't much of a crowd the bartenders (young woman first night night, guy second) were engaging... More

Had dinner here tonight with a group of 11. I must say, the meal was delicious. We started with cocktails and apps. We had calamari, antipasti and tomato, mozzarella and basil. There are no words. Each was dynamite. Then we ordered dinner. I had rockfish, others had oysters, salmon, soft shelled crabs, lamb sausage and steak. Not a negative word... More

Since our daughters have moved to the capitol city we have enjoyed trying the wonderful variety of good restaurants. Bacchus continues to be at the top of our list. You can go as simple as pasta (your choice) with butter and oil. Or choose from a number of full entrees. Simple bar type atmosphere, great service, and reasonable prices. We... More

While the escargo is the best ever, the pasta is simply too good to be true. And you can't finish it. My favorite is the Kobe meat ball pasta. And add the Gorgonzola polenta to the meal.

Four of us had scallops, veal piccata, and fried oysters, along with sides of broccolini, brussel sprouts, spinach salad and baked artichokes. It was an absolutely delicious meal, and I'll remember it for a while because my clothes still smell like garlic--one of the signs of a great meal! Service is good, seating is comfortable, and it's noisy. We had... More

Very wonderful atmosphere with a very good vibe. The service was great. We went with another couple who were regulars so they assisted with the selections. Well, I am not sure if I mean selections or the fact that it is like large portion tapas. Order an appetizer or two and share, then a main entire or pasta, vegetable dishes... More
