For years I and my family endured the torture of encountering unidentified amazing aromas from a local restaurant. Finally we discovered Elephant Thai was the source. Now we drop in any time we are in town. It's not especially fancy but quick, delicious, and well presented. The wait staff are pleasant and efficient but finding parking ca be challenged especially... More

This is a very small restaurant. Nice staff, just a little slow when the tables are full. Great Thai tea. Enjoyed their satay, the cucumber dip really compliments the chicken. Pad Thai is great, just a little too rich.

Fresh rolls were very good and the drunken noodles tasty. The place needs some remodeling however because it is not very appealing. Of course my opinion is that you should have a nice atmosphere to serve food in and it's a bit dated. I will go back for the food though.

I've been going here for almost a decade now. Freshman year at VCU this is where I discovered my love of Thai food and years later this place still does not disappoint .

Had only been to a Thai restaurant once before, wanted to expand my Thai food experience. Service and food fine here.

Spicy! It was fine for me - however, I was never asked about preferred spice level and for many folks this would have been way too hot. I mentioned it to the waiter and he replied that if the customer wishes to modify the spice level they must ask. Otherwise this was a good experience with good to very good... More

Not elegant or fancy, your basic Thai restaurant. Food was hot and freshly prepared. Service was good. Bar service was a bit slow and at 6pm they ran out of red wine. Prices modest.

I've been having lunch at Elephant Thai nearly weekly for a couple of years. The food is always top-rate and the service excellent. While I'm in a bit of a rut in terms of what I order (spring rolls, Tom Yum seafood, or Kapow Jae), it is always terrific. I can't speak to dinner, but lunch is fast, fairly priced,... More

Wonderfully authentic food. A little "hole-in-the-wall" type place but don't be fooled. food was terrific and worth the jaunt around the corner from the VCU strip of restaurants.

Very friendly staff and great Thai food all around. I would highly recommend a visit if you are looking for a good bite to eat downtown.
