Great chicken soup with rosemary and cheese dumplings. Don't skip the best beer bread ever. 🤗 Great service. Friendly staff.

We had a group of 18 people, which the restaurant accommodated in the room off to the left of the entrance. Our waiter was excellent, keeping each order straight and billing us separately. People had a wide range of entrees - I had the apple salad with shrimp added. It was delicious and the vinaigrette dressing was unusual and very... More

A nice place with a lot of promise. The pimento cheese with homemade crackers appetizer was worth the visit. The spaghetti squash and quail dishes were also well executed. The burger was large but unimpressive, served medium when asked for medium rare and having a seasoning flavor that overpowered that of the meat. The accompanying fries were wonderful, while the... Looking for a healthy, but kid friendly place to eat, we found The Savory Grain down the street from the Science Museum where we had just spent the afternoon. Our server was very friendly and she had solid recommendations for us. The food was very good, simple, and healthy. It was a perfect meal as we prepared for a our... More

We stopped at Savory Grain after visiting the Science Museum nearby and we were so pleasantly surprised by the authentic people and service, fresh and delicious food, adorable decor and they were super helpful with suggestions for my dairy and gluten free diet. When we visit the area again, we will definitely stop and enjoy the atmosphere and this time... More

Second visit and as good as the first. Everybody, 9 of us, got something different and all plates cleaned. I had the meatloaf one of their most popular entrees and it was fantastic. Our waitress was very patient not trying to rush us out. Pretty good wine selection and happy hour still going on at 6:30pm. I will be coming... More

I was skeptical when a friend suggested dinner here. The name seems to imply overly healthy food. While I don't want junk or fast food, there isn't a great interested in vegan or vegetarian either. But, my friend and I have very similar food tastes so figured it was worthwhile to trust him. Glad I did because my meal was... More

I can't believe that we are just now discovering this place. Great food and service. Vegetarians are welcomed with tasty options. I will have to go back for 1/2 off wine (bottle) Sundays and for a live jazz night. Beware -the portion sizes are a bit large.

You get a close to fine dining experience without forking over a big price tag. Appetizers like the Brussel sprouts are excellent. Go during the week and you get $1 oysters on the half shell. The shrimp and grits are original, and the quail is delicious. Also recommended is the creamy chicken soup. Make it an entrée and surround yourself... More

Stopped in for diner before the Forum and the appetizers and entrees were amazing. Nice surprise on Broad St.
