If you like a nice, cozy neighborhood place to dine, this wood be the place. They have the best Spinach Lasagna!!! The ambiance is like a local pub, a little noisy but enjoyable.

Our son really wanted to go here. It is very quaint. Salad bar in a tub and extensive breakfast bar. We ordered from the menu. I can only speak for my order: bacon was overcooked on one end and chewy on the other. The eggs over medium were overcooked. The fruit cup was good.

I was so happy to see SSC was still open in the same location in the Fan in Richmond but disappointed in the food and service! It's not the same top quality place it used to be. The food was just so-so and the salad bar, which was the big feature back in the day has been scaled back and... More

Lunch for four adults was good. Food was served at the proper temperatures. Service for some reason on a Tuesday afternoon was slow during a time when plenty of empty seats were available. Location is very nice in a residential area. Be sure to park in the rear of the building.... On street parking can be tight. Waitress Emily P... More

Part of the salad bar is presented in a claw-foot bathtub! Very original and amusing. If you enjoy salad bars, this one is very well done. There are various pasta salads in addition to all the fresh salad ingredients. We ordered the fried green tomatoes for an appetizer to share and had the salad bar for our main dish. One... More

Standard unimaginative kids menu. We had the chicken pot pie and the buttermilk fried chicken and they were nothing special. The Strawberry Cafe Market next door was more interesting.

Great salad bar! Lovely area of the city. A very positive experience. If I lived here, I would come once a week!! Walking distance from the art museum.

This is a local place located in the Fan District of Richmond. The Fan District is one of Richmond's most charming and historic areas just west of the Richmond business district and not far from the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts maybe 6 to 7 blocks and 10 blocks or so from Carytown. The Fan is full of all kinds... More

Went for an appetizer and drinks. We were unaware they had no appetizers and were serving brunch type food. The food took way too long and was not good. Very disappointed.

Description
Here at Strawberry Street Cafe, we have been providing great food and service in an inviting, casual atmosphere since 1976. Located in the Historic Fan District, we are only about a ten minute drive from the Landmark Theatre and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. What we are best known for is our famous salad bar, which is actually situated in an old-fashioned bathtub and filled with fresh vegetables, fruits, prepared salads and homemade soups. The menu includes such specialties as Maryland Crabcakes, Pasta Jambalaya, Homemade Chicken Pot Pie, and Spinach Lasagna.
