My fiancée and I hadn't been to Millie's in years and we were kicking ourselves for waiting so long. We had to wait for about 20 minutes but that just made the food taste better. My wife had the Salmon and Eggs which she inhaled. I had the Devils Mess which is a Millie's specialty; three egg frittata with chorizo,... More

We are new to the Richmond area and looked for a great place for brunch. We did an online search and Millie's Diner was on the list of places near our home. They were busy, and allowed us to sit at the first open booth. Our waitress was pleasant and energetic. She took the time to explain the specials of... More

Millie's was very busy on the Sunday morning we went. We had a party of 6 and waited close to an hour. We were able to get drinks at the bar and sit outside on the patio while we waited. Being a Southerner, I was disappointed they were out of one of the daily specials - Scallops and Grits. I... More

From the minute you walk in till you waddle out Millie's is the place to eat brunch. We had 3 messes and one chickpea burger. All was fantastic. Great service, very attentive to water and coffee refills and " just checkin' in " . Have never been to Richmond before but will definitely go back. '';

We have lived in Richmond for over ten years and had never made it to Millie's. Yesterday we finally got to experience what people are always talking about. Millie's is an old time dinner that still looks and feels that way, but the food and service are out of this world.On the brunch menu they feature their "Mess". That means... More

On our last day in Richmond, my husband and I decided to walk to Millie's for Sunday brunch. From downtown, we ambled through Shockoe Bottom, across a cobblestone alley, and past interesting historic architecture. As we approached Millie's, reality sank in -- the line was out the door. However, the wait was made more pleasant by a starter cup of... More

Rustic, loud, crowded and wonderful food. A Richmond landmark for many years. Four of us dined at Millie's last Saturday night. Nothing has changed in the past twenty years s far as we could tell. Soups (squash & bacon, sausage & black eyed peas) were outstanding. Seafood entrees (grouper and rockfish) were cooked perfectly and accompaniments paired nicely. Tarts, tortes... More

we went for the first time yesterday, not knowing anything about it. I had seen it walking by, and so we went to try it out. Definitely glad we did. It is busy, no question about that. The 2 of us probably waited over a half hour for a table. But they are happy to get you something to drink... More

The food here is the real deal, the quality is definitely a cut-above normal diner food. I had the pork chop with cous cous and honey yoghurt and plum chutney - just inspired! The flavours marrying so well and each of the individual elements were delicious in their own right. Sitting at the bar and watching the boys cook to... More

Millie's is a Richmond fixture. Always wonderful food, good drinks, amazing wait staff, friendly atmosphere. We have been dining there for many years and never disappointed whether dinner, lunch or Sunday Brunch. It is always crowded with people of all ages laughing, chatting and making you feel welcome. Try to sit in a booth in front of the tiny kitchen... More
