Take out with Class!

During snowstorm, after getting no help from staff to find nice restaurant from "Luxury hotel" Omni, we settled for take out pizza. We picked Piccola's and checked out their website. Suprisingly, Piccola's online menu was WAY more than pizza. They have excellent salads, pasta dishes, entrees, appatizers and desserts. ALSO, they deliver several different kinds of wine. I joked with the owner, who answered the phone and took my order for my wife and me, that I was surprised I couldn't include a mandolin player to serenade us with some Italian love songs during dinner in our room. When his deliveryman called up to our room to advise he was in lobby, he played Italian mandolin music over the phone. What a hoot! Food was excellent and two bottles of wine capped the order! Only problem we ate everything and there was no cold pizza for breakfast which is unavailable at Omni

Mouth-watering delicious pizzas and subs!! I Have loved Piccola's since I first visited them in 1990!! It remains my go-to when I want Italian Pizza and Subs!!

Sad delivery service

Hi, I was suppose to have a ordered delivered tonight between 5.30-6.00. . . . It never arrived, although I did see a driver an order 6-7 doors down. I attempted to attract his attention, but to no avail. He ignore me and went on his way. POOR, POOR, customer service !!! I had surgery today, my wife's arm is in a sling due to an injury, we are both seniors and this was a 'gift' to us by our daughter residing in FL. Your delivery people, Grub Hub, failed you, and in return you failed !!! (This is not the first time this neighborhood has had issues with Grub Hub). So, now you won't replace the order since a 'delivery' is a 'delivery' . . . .SHAME !! I'll will do everything I can to spread the word of your lousy service and equally lousy delivery service... . . . you could have made this an opportunity to excel, sad you missed the chance.

Perfect New York Style Pizza in the South

Really good pizza, nice little place. I would recommend it. Nothing extra to add other than you can count on tasty pizza at this establishment. Oh, and I would 100% go here again.

Very tasty pizza

IMy son and I were on a "staycation" as my wife went on a cruise. We decided to go to a different restaurant every night while she was gone, and it had to be a new restaurant to us. On pizza night, my work colleague told me the best pizza in Richmond was Piccola. I must admit I'm a real pizza snob so I had very high expectations. My son and I started off with fresh side salads and shared mozzarella sticks. Both were very good. We then shared a large pepperoni pizza and it was outstanding. What really stood out to me was the delicious crust. We boxed the half the pizza up and enjoyed it over the next couple of days. Piccola is more of a take out type of restaurant so be prepared to sit with others at their long table. I really was thankful of my work colleague's recommendation of Piccola. Great pizza!

Pizza is so good. I visited Richmond Va 3 times in December and I went here for pizza every time. Staff is great and the food is amazing!

Great lunch spot

Good atmosphere: casual, laidback, and social. AMAZING bread for the pizza; they really get it nice and crispy with a satisfying flaky texture without burning it nor draining the flavor. Good variety, fast, and very well priced. Piccola is my go-to lunch spot in this neighborhood

Good Food, Great Service

Wife and I happened upon Piccola while waiting for a show, and were pleased by the experience. The food was really good and the customer service was outstanding. Seating is somewhat cramped and not very comfortable. When looking for the restrooms, there were 2 doors: the one with restroom sign was out of order; the other door was not clearly marked, so no idea if this was a restroom or not. Would consider returning for the food...

Best Cheesesteak in Richmond!

I've been going to Piccola's for years and just stopped in last night for the first time in a long time. Cheesesteak was exactly as I ordered and always excellent! Great pizza whole or by the slice and cold beer! Not fancy but a great spot if you're in the fan by VCU

Always great pizza

Great pizza and fast courteous delivery. We Eat with them weekly! We usually order for delivery but service and Pizza are great in the storefront as well.

Great pizza!

Hard to come up with something very original to say. We stopped in here after a performance at VCU for a quick bite and were pleasantly surprised. The staff were super friendly, service was quick, and the pizza was yummy. Just tried the pizza and had drinks (choice of fountain drinks and bottled ones). Desserts looked awfully good, too! Nothing fancy, but who cares as long as the food is good. They have a few booths if you care to eat in, but saw many who were getting take-out orders. We'd go back...

Best place for NY Style Pizza

Piccola makes good pizza. Everything else is a bit plain and mediocre. This is my go to for pizza and they have yet to disappoint in that arena. The dine in section isn't the best and is always pretty deserted. I wouldn't say that the pizza truly stands out, but there is very little competition for that classic greasy slice of heaven. There are a lot of specialty pizza places that are damn good, like Belmont, but to me they are different categories. If you are looking to grab a few pizzas to crush during a football game, then this is the place to go.

Mediocre All Around

My family of four tried this restaurant using a Group for 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, and 2 desserts. If I hadn't gotten the food for about half price, I'd have scored it lower. The calamari was freshly breaded and lightly fried, but the calamari must have been previously frozen and lacked flavor. The bruschetta was basic and good. The chicken parmesan was very good. The chicken masala was just okay. The gnocchi was good (but better the leftovers were much better next day). The eggplant in the eggplant parmesan was sliced so thin, that is was mush with breading and oil. The Reece's pie, was just a slice of store bought pie and not homemade. The espresso beignet was good, but small. We won't be returning even if we could pay 1/2 price again.

I order from here all the time. The food is always delicious and delivered in a timely manner. The chicken wings are nice and plump and delicious. Also the Mediterranean salads and the subs are always tasty.
