Happened to pass through New Market Road for another event and decided to hit Ronnies on the way back. I have been trying to get to this place but the location kept moving. With that said it was worth the wait. I arrived around 7 and was able to place my order immediately. I ordered the chicken BBQ sandwich with... More

Purchased a full rack of ribs. The ribs were beautiful----without a doubt, the best I have ever eaten. Cole slaw and baked beans were very good also. The customer service was excellent. I asked the prep area for their best rack!!!! The gentleman said "No problem" Before I left he invited me over to view the ribs!!!!! WOW Did they... More

On our road trip, Richmond Va. was our lunch stop so I looked for a place to eat. This place was featured in Foodnetwork so we decided to try it. Address online is an old address but we didn't give up and eventually found it. The place was small but as soon as we got out of the vehicle the... More

Super friendly barbecue place on the capital bike trail. Good, tasty bbq and sauce, good cole slaw, good baked beans. Excellent service. A few seats inside and a picnic table outside to watch the bikers. Would definitely recommend a stop there.

We saw them featured on the foodnetwork and made a note to stop in the next time we were heading south. They used to be a food truck, now have a tiny take-out only resto. First off, the welcome we received was warm and genuine. The owners and staff obviously take great pride in their food. They were impressed that... More

My wife and I rode a part of the Virginia Capital Trail a few days ago starting from Great Shiplock Park in Richmond. Out on New Market Rd., we went by a restaurant we had been to before but now, it's a barbecue place, RonniesBBQ. Smelled really good so we decided we'd try it after our bike ride. I'm really... Good decent ok ribs if you're in the airport area but not worth a trip from downtown. Very friendly crew and the signature sauce is very good, tangy sweet. Meat does fall off the bone as advertised But texture suggests it's boiled or microwaved first before smoke/grilled.

This is a takeout place. The pulled pork BBQ, coleslaw, collards and FF were all perfect! I'm not even a BBQ fan, but I'd drive across town to pickup more! I wish them much success in their new location.
