Delicious food options. Dishes very well described on the menu on their spice /sauce ingredients. All the flavors are in perfect harmony- no one overpowering spice. Love the fresh rosemary ,pressed garlic, curry. fresh jalapenos. Excellent vegetarian options (6) We have found we now crave this food once a week or so. Take some friends - order a bunch of... It has been a year since we've visited Richmond and all I could think about wa can we PLEASE eat at ADDIS!!! Again the food was simply amazing. The medley of spices mingled with the vegetables and the variety of meets in a way to make you think you died and went to heaven and the tef kept coming! However... More

We started with an appetizer, katenja, which was cheese rolled in injera, the Ethiopian "bread" that comes with all the food here (you eat holding the injera instead of a fork). I thought it tasted like paprika, but the other 5 people at my table loved it- it was spicy. My party ordered the 6 vegetable plate (shared by 2... More

I believe this is the only (if not one of the few) Ethiopian restaurants in Richmond. It is a tiny restaurant and the staff is friendly. They can accommodate gluten free!

You Richmonders are fortunate to have this excellent Ethiopian restaurant in your midst. I don't know why Ethiopian food isn't as popular as Indian or Thai or Korean or ribs or McDonalds. I can't control your eating habits. But if you have any sense at all you will come here immediately and regularly thereafter. Since you asked, I usually get... More

Start with a friendly server who chose our meat and veggies for us and spoiled us with great service. Add the closeness that comes from picking up small bites of food between a bit of fresh bread and you have a wonderful new mealtime memory. The three of us couldn't finish the meat trio and 6 vegetable portions. All was... More

My daughter (9) wanted to go to a restaurant where you could eat with your hands. So for spring break we came here. This experience was absolutely wonderful!! We read many reviews about bad service so I was very nervous about that and how we were going to order. When we arrived this beautiful woman with long hair and a... More

What a fun experience! We did a meat and veggie sampler. The food was divine. My favorite was the chicken. The tea and coffee were also fabulous. Wonderful experience with my son!
