This is great place to go have a delicious meal and drinks. It has a great pub feel and the place is family run by Mike and his kids as chefs and also the former chef at Millie's cooks at Poe's Pub. My wife and I visit here about 6-9 times a year. It is always a hoot to see... More

Solid pub food. The ribs or catfish are the way to go. Decent (but not plush) environment. Worth a visit.

Super yummy pub food. We stop here for a good hearty sandwich and fries after long bike rides on the Capitol trail. Excellent food, nice people!

Enjoyed this pub during the bike world tour. Crowded and slow service but may need to visit again since the cyclists have left

I used to take my young son here. It was old gas station converted to a sort of a yuppie biker bar/restaurant in an area that was just beginning to be upgraded, but still had a very raffish feel. It was harmless and fun. We went on Sundays for breakfast and to play pool. The food was good, but that... More

This is a pub and it was VERY expensive! The food was mediocre. The waitress was very nice. For our family of 5 we spent over $75! We have eaten at the Olive Garden for our family of 5 with drinks and all for $80. The food is what you would get in a mediocre pub/grill/bar area. There was nothing... More

I recently dined at Poe's Pub with seven friends as part of a book club meeting. The food was good and arrived as ordered for all in our party. Although there were quite a few other diners there, the restaurant was not crowded or noisy...important for a bookclub meeting. The only drawback is the limited parking which allows for approx... I needed to find a place that wouldn't be too packed on Valentine's Day as I had a large group for dinner. Called Poe's a few days before; they took my name and said they would have something ready for us when we showed up. Just as promised, they had our table ready and accommodated 2 last minute add-ons. They... More

Great find!! Took a relative to VCU Medical Center and had time for lunch .... felt very lucky to find this neighborhood spot! I ordered the Poe's Club ~ Smoked turkey, ham, bacon, cheddar, swiss, lettuce & tomato on a chargrilled Ciabatta bun!! One of the very best sandwiches I've had! The grilled bun added a depth of flavor that... More

Poe's Pub is a great neighborhood place to go, it's within walking distance of a lot of different neighborhoods. The atmosphere is a little plain, but it is a neighborhood place.
