We like mom and pop places vs chains. When we saw the reviews we gave it a try. Hubby loved the fried hotdog wrapped in bacon topped with BBQ! Wow! I went basic with a pulled pork plate, yummy! Service was great!

After looking at reviews we searched out HogsHead Cafe. It's in an odd little shopping center, but worth checking out! My husband got a pulled chicken sandwich, I got a shrimp po boy and my son got a hamburger topped with pulled pork, bacon and onion rings!!! So.Good. Service was good. Price a little more moderate but definitely huge portions.
We did a take out. This cafe is very small, only a few tables, and a bit hard to locate, but they produce some excellent food. The burger was cooked to perfection and the meat appeared very fresh - excellent quality. The pulled pork sandwhich was excellent as well, as where all of the sides we ordered. We had chicken... More
As somebody who grew up in North Carolina, visiting family in Kansas City, and currently living in Texas, I like to think I know BBQ pretty well. This place has high quality BBQ and the sides are cooked just are perfect. The banana pudding dessert is the best I have had anywhere, it is even better than my mom's banana... More
Kinda small....kinda loud--just the usual noises--nothing crazy and worth every second of dining delight! The wait staff is exceptional and the food is delicious! Went there for lunch and the next day had friend visit and took them to dinner.....everyone I have brought here has had nothing but great things to say about the whole experience. Try it the nachos... More

The staff is great and for a little place thhe food is great. Unassuming place but very impressive. The hog dog is my favorite. Hot dog wrapped in bacon on a huge bun with barbeque all over it. Can't wait for my next one.
Since Bills BQ is no longer here in Ruchmond I have truly pined for barbecue If that same caliber Well I found it last week. It is delicious and when you open the door if the cafe the smell is amazing Good service clean and a little pricey But I shared with friend and still had good Portion. Lots of... More
My husband, myself and another couple came for dinner. None of us had ever been or known anyone else that had. Our waitress was amazing! She was great at explaining the menu as well as the specials. My husband and I got the limeade, it was really good and a lot for the price. I even took some home. We... More
