I have eaten here a couple of times while attending other events in this area of Richmond. Great food and service.

It is amazing. This used to be a flea bag hotel that was used as student dorms for a local college. It is now one of the most expensive places to stay in Richmond. The food is good but parking can be tricky at best.
Thanks very much for visiting and trying our cuisine, we strive to provide the freshest ingredients and we get as much as we can locally sourced. Sorry to hear about your frustration regarding parking, but please note that anytime you eat at our restaurant we provide free valet parking; so you can just pull up your car and not worry... More
Scott was an amazing server as were the other waitstaff. Brunch was perfect and suitablly priced for everyone. We all had a great time.
Thanks so much for the positive comments, we are so glad to hear from you and appreciate your visit with your family. We look forward to seeing you again, a lot of the items on our brunch menu are also available daily for breakfast and lunch. More
Stayed in at the Berkeley for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend the happy hour sampler plate. We also had a lovely dinner on our last night. I highly recommend the short ribs, no fat and fork tender. Both our entrees came with some of the best collard greens I've ever had. We also had... More
Our Chef wants you to know that he appreciates your comments and extends a sincere thank you. It is good to hear that you had a great dinner and we hope to see you here soon, the ribs will be waiting as well as the sampler. More
The service and wait staff were very professional Food were very good. Menu choices not huge, but a variety of choices. Great for a special occasion. Large variety of wine choices. Quiet setting with tablecloths and candlelight.
Your comments on service have been noticed and are much appreciated by our staff. Our wine menu is constantly being updated and we hope to see you for your next event, thanks for your support. More
This was our first time to dine at this restaurant. The food was very well prepared and service was impeccable. Nice quiet atmosphere compared to Tobacco Company which is directly across the street and very loud. We will return due to our excellent experience.
Thank you, it is great to hear that you enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the food and service. We appreciate your comments and would love to see you here again, please give us a call if there is anything we can do to help you plan your next visit (804) 525-5105. More
Got here for the happy hours. Good Virginia beers and the suggested sampler was great. Fried oysters, fried okra, pickled shrimp and fried green tomatoes were the items. Also orders a dried fruit and cheese plate then later the mini crab cakes. Everything was good and Mark did an excellent job. All the staff were very friendly.
I am very pleased to hear that you were able to take advantage of our happy hour, we are always bringing on great VA beers, and if you're ever in the area please stop by and see what's new. On behalf of Mark and all of our kitchen staff we would like to thank you for your comments; the sampler,... More
Ate here as part of a dining package while staying at the hotel. Flavorful entrees but not for a meat and potatoes person (see menu on hotel's website). Shrimp and Grits had fried cheddar grit cakes with country ham and spinach sauteed along with the shrimp. All in all an interesting and untypical flavor combination but on the salty side... More
On behalf of our staff, we really appreciate the comments and have made note about the more problematic parts of your experience, also the prices of our liquor have been lowered. Although I understand you were only staying at the hotel for that night, I hope that you may return sometime and permit us to provide a better experience for... More
I have dined at The Berkeley on many occasions, most recently two evenings ago as part of a recruitment effort. The dining area is elegant and quiet which lends itself to good conversation. The food is consistently delicious and prepared with a Southern flair. Vegetarian options are available. Desserts are SPECTACULAR. The Berkeley is located in the Shockhoe Slip area... More
Thank you, it is great to see that our restaurant concept is well received and whenever you are in the area please drop by and see what we've added to the menu. Although not too much has changed, we have recently added a beer menu, cocktail menu, and some summer food and wine which you may enjoy. More
My wife and I dined at the Berkeley dining room while staying in Richmond for one night after heading home from a visit to Charleston and really enjoyed it. The dining room is warm and welcoming, the staff including Kaye and Will were pleasant and provided great service and their new chef and menu will please you with the many... More
