We discovered this restaurant through a AAA Tourbook, and are we ever glad that we did. The Black Sheep restaurant is a small bohemian/hip-like restaurant located just off I-95 in Richmond, VA. Eclectic framed art adorns the walls in the dining room and the restroom. The restaurant is very cozy, seats about 30-40 people, and serves breakfast/brunch, lunch, and dinner.... More

The sandwiches are too giant. The soup was great and spicy. The t-shirt was good enough I came back to pay for it when they left it off the bill. What a great neighborhood hot spot with great grub and greater people.

A small foodie's restaurant with comfort foods and small wait for brunch on a weekend. We had a ten minute wait so walked around back to the outdoor patio and ordered coffee- which was basic. When we were seated indoors in the restaurant, we ordered three entrees between the two of us as we couldn't decide, and wanted an appetizer.... More

First of all let me start by saying that the establishment is a cute little place. It opens for breakfast at 10:00 (Which seems to be on par for the area.). The wait staff was quite attentive and keep the the coffee cup filled. We just thought that the food we ordered was spiced a little heavy with pepper. The... More

The sandwich options are creative. The bread is hard to chew. The inside of the sandwich (we got jerk chicken and the steak) were tasty and good.

The menu is great, with lots of out of the ordinary flavor combinations. I got the french toast (for the second time) and it was brilliant. If you go at the right time you can sit right down. However, I wouldn't mind waiting to eat here. The atmosphere here is fine for kids, but the menu didn't appeal to my... More

After I finally find a parking spot, and get seated at one of the eleven small tables in a setting reminiscent of grandma's house(on acid), the reward comes.... The menu! This food is fabulous! Huge two foot long gourmet sandwiches on fresh baguettes. The full order is large enough to feed a family of four. Plus a good variety of... More

Oh wow! Oh wow! Oh wow! Saw this place on Diner's Drive Ins and Dives. I'm always curious if the places are as good as the show makes them out to be. I have to say, this one was! It's worth fighting the crowds. Go hungry and prepared to still take food home.

The wait was a little longer than I had originally expected but the food was AMAZING. Our server was a real "multitasker" The coffee was good and hot. Service was a little slow but over all a good experience.

I had the bayou biscuits and they were so delicious. A friend had banana pudding and they were blown away. Will definitely be going back!
