I have been here several times living in Richmond. Arianna’s is consistently on top of their game for pizza. The pasta can be disappointing, but they make up for it by just being a solid choice for superb sandwiches and pizza.

I ordered thru DoorDash and the food arrived warm and well packaged. It was honestly some of the best penne bolognese I have had in awhile. It was the perfect meal before the marathon and helped fuel me for a great race. Thank you!!!!

My husband and I were traveling down I-95 on our way home to N Carolina and had a hankering for an Italian dinner (we both were raised in Italian families and are a bit discriminating). I searched online and noticed Arianna’s. While the reviews appeared...mixed, I decided to go for it... and so glad we did, what a pleasant surprise! I would call this a small neighborhood restaurant that would be one of our go-to’s if we lived locally. Just off Monument Ave, it is non-descript from the outside, and the interior could use some updating. But the food was terrific, and reasonably priced. We both ordered a pasta dish, and a glass of wine, and the meal came with rolls that were homemade and just delicious (and oh so memorable!). The pizza looked outstanding too, and perhaps next time we’re in the area we’ll give it a try. The staff was friendly and appeared to work well together, all on point. I would highly recommend Arianna’s at Sheppard, and it’s on our list to revisit. We appreciated the effort they made to accommodate guests given the COVID limitations, and hope they maintain business for the long haul (good to see that carry out business appeared to be strong).More

Worst meal I ever had in Richmond in 30 years. Luke warm pizza consisted of tasteless red sauce more like tomato soup on what could have been decent crust served by waiter who clearly preferred to be elsewhere. Salads complete with fruit flies. Wine with...glasses placed on table but neither opened nor served. Subway or Taco Bell would have been infinitely superior experience.More

Allow me to get nostalgic for a moment. Growing up in NJ/NY there is a certain smell to a great pizza place. A mix of baking pizza dough, sausage and peppers, onions, warmth and happiness. Sitting in Arianna's those smells surrounded me and brought be...back to great memories - hard to replicate in RVA. The food was comforting, fresh and tasty. The pastas and fried ravioli and the sinful, decadent desserts. Warm bread with oil or butter. To be honest, I haven't had the pizza yet - but that's ok. We went twice in one week just to try new things - and we will be back again to try more. It's a small place in a little neighborhood. A real "gem." There's a bar and the servers are so friendly (I think it was Liam who helped us?). I would highly recommend for eat in or take out. Try it, love it, experience it!More

Mostly tables meant we ended up at a table; ambiance is not good; shabby and more bar oriented. The service was average. The meals do not come with a salad so they charge extra for a salad; the food was average and not great for...the prices. Overall, this place was fine to try, but we did not add to our list of favorites.More

Been here a few times. Last time they forgot to put in my order. Once it came it was delicious, but the wait. This time, my order was way over cooked. I would have sent it back, but again, teh wait. Server didn't seem to...care.More

Two of us had a great lunch enjoying seafood pasta. I had the Linguine Vongole (clams with white sauce), my friend had the Spaghetti alla Tarantina (mussels in spicy marinara). Both were big servings and of course came with hot, homemade rolls.

Had a pepperoni slice for takeout. Tasted good. Service was super friendly and quick. They also have a lot of other choices in terms of Italian food and are a very cozy and comfortable place to hang out.

Walked here from the First Baptist Church during All State choir rehearsals, and found a neighborhood gem. Split a Cesar salad between two, and ordered a pizza. Only a couple of people in the place, and quick and pleasant service.

Excellent NY style Pizza. Not expensive at all and also had some good lunch specials that we took advantage of to include a full sub with french fries and drink for $7.25. I would recommend this place. The service was good, there’s onsite parking which...is a huge plus.More

This is a very nice little neighborhood, i.e., not a chain, Italian Restaurant in the Museum District of Richmond. You enter a room with just a few booths and a few tables. The "back" room has a bar and a few tables. We recently sat...in the back room on a pleasant evening when the "window," literally the whole back wall, was rolled up, and we had some fresh air flowing into the room. They have a huge menu of pizza (almost 20 kinds of specialty pizzas), salads, pasta, seafood and chicken entrees, lots of kinds of subs, and more. A huge menu, I think, for a smallish restaurant. We were a party of six and started off with a large cheese pizza--delicious. I had an egg plant special, which I believe was not on the menu.....excellent. However, I thought the sauce on the spaghetti was pretty bland. My wife had the meat lasagna--good. A variety of other dishes were had by other members of the party. Everyone seemed to enjoy their respective meals. The rolls were delicious. I thought the service was lacking. For a party of six, with the potential of a big tip, I don't think we were "checked back on" very much. Maybe water glasses were refilled once, maybe. But, all-in-all, this was a pretty good meal at Arianna's on Sheppard Street.More

Stopped off for lunch as it was easy to park (on the road and free) and we love Italian. Food was very fresh and really nice. Staff were absolutely excellent and could not have been nicer and more helpful. On asking for the wifi password,...the waiter did it for me. Thank you. Only downside is the decour and table & chairs. All need refreshed, but we would go back.More

Food was wonderful. had a Caesar and Chicken al Limone. I could eat it all day. Everyone enjoyed meal. Service was average, nothing special. When it came to payment, daughter had been given a gift card, never used, they said that they couldn't honor because...they no longer had a gift card reader. Not sure why they would sell gc if they knew they were getting rid of reader. Timing they stated the card reader was gone was close to the time she rec'd the card. Disappointed in the customer service or lack of.More
