Stopped here for the first time for ice cream. The staff was fast in getting our ice cream to us. They have a lot of flavors to choice from. The ice cream is delicious. I thought the price was high for the amount of ice...cream that was fished out.More

Nice stop as you stroll through Vandenberg Park along the Merrimack River in Lowell! It’s across the street, but there’s a crosswalk with stop light, so getting across the 4 lanes of traffic is do-able. It’s handicapped accessible ( the ramp is just beyond the...kiddie carousel ride by the take-out windows). You can eat in, order at the window, or take-out from ordering inside. Although there’s a menu of other food, we opted for frozen yogurt and ice cream. Both the Kaluha cream fro-yo and the s’mores ice cream were creamy and flavorful. We opted for chocolate jimmies, which cost just a bit extra. What you see depicted are the small sizes, and the actual size is about twice what you see for the cone (it was hot so the ice cream was melting fast so had to be eaten faster than I could snap a pic). Bill for both was $10.17, which made for a great summer lunch. There was plenty of off-street parking, too.More

It is funny....I just went to Heritage tonight and saw the review that people really liked a kiddie size for $3. It was VERY SMALL!!!!!! Meadow lands a few miles from the boulevard in Lowell... has better ice cream and their kiddie's are huge for...a similar price ($3.5-$4 price range if my memory serves me correctly). With that being said, the Heritage has a large variety of soups, sandwiches and finger foods for a quick meal.More

Our Kiddie Size is only $2.76. Our Small is $4.10. We have such a small side for "kiddies" and our regular customers prefer that since a very small child cannot finish a "huge kiddie". Our small is in line with other stands for price, as...More

My favorite thing about this place is that there kiddie ice creams are actually kiddie size!!! This is especially good when you have a 5 year old. They are also decently priced it was less than $12.00 for 4 kiddie ice creams. Across the street...from the ice cream stand they have a nice walking path. They also offer different things in the summer such as bands playing across the street or motorcycle nights and old car nights. It's a lot of fun. In general it's not my favorite Ice Cream but it's ice cream even if it isn't your favorite it is still pretty good.More

I like their icecream and if you go here you can also walk along the river there is sidewalks the whole way and even a crosswalk to get there since the icecream place is on the other side from the river.

My husband and I visited this restaurant recently. Had indoor and outdoor dining. We stayed inside. The food came quickly. I had a dinner salad and my husband had a hamburger and French fries. We both liked what we ordered. I must say, I was...especially interested in the ice cream. They had lots of different hard ice cream flavors and vanilla and chocolate soft ice cream, which we both love. I had chocolate and my husband had vanilla. I had a dish with rainbow sprinkles. Was fun! He had vanilla in a cone.More

If you are visiting the Lowell area (which has some wonderful museums, by the way), you can't go wrong coming to Heritage Farms for ice cream. In fact, in the summer, it's very popular with the locals. You can watch the boats on the river,...while choosing from a large assortment of flavors (I'm a fan of the Peanut Butter Fudge as well as the Rum Raisin); they have both ice cream and frozen yoghurt, in sundaes or shakes or cones. Heritage Farms also has a full menu of various kinds of comfort foods-- hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, various sandwiches, and salads. But sad to say, I've found the food very inconsistent. I like the Thai Chicken Salad or the Buffalo Chicken Salad, but sometimes the chicken is over-cooked, while at other times, it's delightful. Friends have told me the mushroom swiss burger is a good choice, and you can't go wrong with the Reubendog. Service also varies-- the counter is often staffed by high school and college kids, some of whom are friendly and others of whom seem to wish they were elsewhere. But on the other hand, Heritage Farms is clean, it's in a fine location, it has a large eating area, it has menu items that kids will enjoy, and despite the inconsistent food (which, as I said, is sometimes quite tasty), the ice cream is always an excellent choice.More
