Spending 2 weeks in Castelsardo meant that we would sample various restaurants but after running into Francesco after 11 PM on our evening of arrival, we realized we found someone special. He brought us to his favorite after-work hangout for a meat and cheese plate. He explained his approach to running his restaurant and the seafood specialties that he features.... More

You know what they say about busy places, they must be good, well this one was and one of my favorites from my time in Sardinia. We stopped off during our tour of Castelsardo - outside was full (small area) so we made our way inside. Wow this place was popular! The staff advised there was a wait for pasta... More

Decided to eat here after an evening of wandering around the old town, sat outside which is a little challenging as the flagstones under the tables are very uneven but it was worth the effort to hold on! Had seafood pasta for a main course and it was delicious, beautifully cooked and very tasty, my husband also had pasta and... More

The food was ok, maybe a bit too expensive. We found the service to be a bit too invasive, the waiters were constantly near us and also took away bread and cheese without even asking. Camerieri costantemente presenti al limite dell'invadente; bisognerebbe cercare di evitare di portar via dal tavolo il formaggio grattugiato o altre portate senza chiedere permesso.

This restaurant is located close to the castle in the old part of the town , we managed to park on the road leading to the castle but I can imagine in the high season this would not be possible. It is a reasonably step climb to the castle and the restaurant is situated close to the castle , service... More

We found the restaurant at the top of the castle. The waiter was very friendly and sat us in the best place for the view. Everything was very clean and the waiter attentive. We got to see the local fish and chose one fresh from the plate. It was delicious in a tomato sauce with herbs and basil. Proscecco followed... More

In late October after 7pm this was the ONLY open restaurant in the old town of Castelsardo (within the castle walls) and I think we were the only two tourists staying the night up there. My husband was pretty apprehensive but the staff were welcoming and friendly. The inside dining room is gorgeous with a very old wood beam ceiling... More

We visited early in June and it was a little chilly so we ate inside and we are glad we did. It's almost like a grotto inside with walls made of rocks and stone arch ways. The food is reasonably good and they have tourist menus that are prix fixe menus consisting of 3 or 4 courses that are excellent... More

Staff were friendly and helpful and the artisan beer we had was excellent. We had mussels, cheeses, ravioli (unexpectedly with ricotta not meat) and spaghetti carbonara. That plus water was €63 so have had better value but it was fine.
