Downstairs and dark, seemed overpriced for the amount of food we got. Service was quick and beer was good. Would not visit again.

Sloooooooowww service . Food was ok. Server didn't watch our glasses for refills and we never received napkins. The beer, when we got it, was good, though.

We had some good food here and an awesome selections of beer and it was a fun and interesting place to eat. The Fish and Chips is awesome and huge portions, the burger are massive and excellent. My only minor complaint was the waiter we had, he was ok but at times seemed a little lost in space. There were... More

Saw John Harvard's while walking the street in Harvard Square. It was a great brew house located below a few shops. The bartenders were very friendly. We tried a few beers and ciders while the bar began to get busier. There was a band scheduled so it seemed to bring a crowd. They had their own brews which were pretty... More

We stopped by for lunch on July 4th and the place was dead. We sat at a table in the bar area for a little better ambiance. We stuck to pub type food and it was fine - burgers and pot pie - and the beer selection was pretty decent. The service on the other hand was TERRIBLE! We had... More

I chose this place after a long day of college visit because they make their own beer. We got there around 4 and the place was pretty empty. We were quickly seated and our server was quick to take a drink and appetizer/meal order. The service was quick but that may have been because there were minimal people there?? The... More

We arrived at the pub and had to go down the stairs to the underground pub. The atmosphere was cool. The stained class is something to see all in itself. The cocktails was good (expensive) and the beer was great as well. We ordered the nachos. When they came out, they were doused in sour cream and guac. The cheese... More

I was there late on a Friday night after walking up from Kendall Square and having a few drinks along the way. The food was fine. The prices were reasonable for Harvard Square. It had quieted down, I'm sure, but it was subdued when I was there. The menu has something for everyone, and that was a great reason to... More

I like the (basement) atmosphere of the place. The appetizer (taco) was great. I didn't like my main dish so much but that's mostly due to making a bad choice myself. Unfortunately I didn't try their beer. The gentleman who took care of our table was extremely polite.
