We walked around Harvard then MIT and decided we wanted Italian. "Around Me" app sent us here. Good thing we trusted our instincts. A quick call for reservations and we were set. Sweet little corner restaurant with available outdoor seating. They met us with a smile and offered us sparkling water. Our party had spaghetti with huge tender meatballs with... More

We eat here once a year on our annual trip to Boston for medical stuff. Amelia's NEVER disappoints. This time we could only get in for lunch, but I had arancini and the most amazing spinach salad with pancetta cracklings, goat cheese, caramelized onions and lemon vinaigrette! My spouse had a porchetta pannini and a mini Cesar salad that was... More

It's about 2 hrs since we left Amelia's and it's only just now I have warmed up after what was probably the coldest restaurant I have ever been in. A warm pleasant night outside but with air-conditioning turned down to winter Boston inside - simply don't know why they did that. Ok so either get a table outside or rug... More

This small trattoria has delicious I Italian food We had a great calamari dish and the pasta of the day. Both were fantastic. Servers were helpful. The only reason I did not give this a 5 is that the environment is ok but not as interesting or romantic as other small restaurants. There also is an outdoor seating area for... More

We went to Amelia's for a celebration of my niece's graduation. There are only a few tables so I assume you need advance reservations. The whole experience was delightful. The food was excellent, and our waitress, Julia, (or if she is Italian, Giulia ), was outstanding. She was so bubbly and friendly and enthusiastic about the food. Just hearing her... More

This place was recommended by the hotel, a close walk. It is a small family owned Italian restaurant, and it is excellent, The menu is limited, but they have incredible specials, try them. The wines by the glass are good, especially the super Tuscan. Go early, or make sure you have reservations, they only have a small number of tables... More

Bring a hardy appetite to this small and crowded corner restaurant just a short walk from Kendall Square. Food is delicious and plentiful. Sauces are authentic and very fresh. Veal fork tender. Pastas al dente and taste home-made. Relatively short menu but sure you can find something to your liking. Well stocked bar and wine list. Chocolate deserts delicioso! Try... More

Headed here with my 18 and 16 year old sons. Very cute corner location, but very small inside. Tables are tight inside. Would definitely not call the restaurant casual. The wait staff had a certain air to them, which was far from casual. My son had left his book bag on floor and it must have been in the server... More

I was staying the tech district of Boston where there are few restaurants. Amelia's is one of the few restaurants serving Italian, which is important for me as a vegetarian. There were multiple vegetarian options that could be done vegan, and the food was excellent. The pasta dish featured homemade fresh pasta and was as good as the comparable dish... More

Description
Delio Susi, in anticipation of his restaurant’s tenth anniversary, refined both his restaurant’s menu as well as its interior design, to great success. Losing none of his Abruzzi roots, the food is clean but clearly Italian, and a little rustic. The warm and inviting room makes the same statement. Drawing on his architectural background, Susi plays with simple organic materials, like square slate tiles and tabletops, and brown leather tufted banquettes. The use of brick plus copper fixtures contribute to the Italian country/casual feel that serves food and wine to match. Wooden floors and European style open windows for the summer add to this ambiance. And red lamps that hang in bright contrast with the earthy tones during the day, shed a sexy flattering nighttime glow. Amelia’s Trattoria offers a personal and authentic dining experience using top local ingredients infused with the heart of its Italian chef.
